Skills are the measures of your character's expertise in the various actions available in DragonRealms. The higher one's ranks in a given skill, the better one is in performing the actions associated with that skill.

Below are all the current skills in DragonRealms at a glance. The primary training method only represents the most popular training methods and is not exhaustive. Indirect boosts to skills through stat boosts are not included. Boosting methods from Empath Links, CJ, or Predictions are omitted.

Weapon Skillset

Small Edged Melee e.g. knives, daggers, hatchets, hand axes, short swords, rapiers, and scimitars.
Large Edged Melee e.g. broadswords, longwords, battle axes.
Twohanded Edged Melee e.g. Greatswords, greataxes, flamberges, claymores, igorat axes.
Small Blunt Melee e.g. clubs, gavels, mallets, maces, and war hammers.
Large Blunt Melee e.g. greathammers, sledgehammers, and morning stars.
Twohanded Blunt Melee e.g. war mattocks and mauls.
Polearms Melee/Pole Slicing or stabbing weapons affixed to a long haft, e.g. spears, pikes, halberds, scythes, glaives, and voulges.
Staves Melee/Pole Any big stick, e.g nightsticks and quarterstaves.
Bows Ranged All stick bows, e.g. shortbows, longbows, and composite bows.
Crossbows Ranged Weapons consisting of a bow mounted on a stock with a trigger-firing mechanism, e.g. light crossbows, heavy crossbows, arbalests, and stonebows.
Slings Ranged A strap or slingshot, used to hurl a stone at high speed, e.g. slings, slingshots, and staff slings.
Light Thrown Ranged Lighter-weight thrown weapons, most under 30 stones in weight, e.g., throwing knives, throwing blades, bolas, boomerangs, and light throwing axes.
Heavy Thrown Ranged Heavier-weight thrown weapons, most over 30 stones in weight, e.g., throwing hammers, hurling axes, and throwing spears.
Brawling Melee Combat while unarmed or with worn equipment that enhances unarmed strikes, e.g. brass or spike knuckles, elbow and knee spikes, and footwraps.
Offhand Weapon Melee/Ranged Skill in attacking with weapons held in the left hand.
