There are several unique languages present in the world of Elanthia. Being able to speak and understand these tongues is based upon race.

In order to see which languages your character knows, and switch between them, use the LANGUAGE command.

Common is the only language every race can understand, though some may choose to role-play not being fluent in Common.

When speaking a language other than Common, you will see text similar to this:

You say in Prydaenese, "Greetings."

Other adventurers of your same race will be able to understand what you are saying. Races other than your own will only see that you say something in <language>.

The Bard enchante Aura of Tongues allows the bard to understand languages he or she might not usually know.
