Description: The arrange verb is used in order to increase the chance of getting a high quality skin from a creature, and to specify what type of component you want to skin from the creature. Currently SKINS or a PART can be specified. Successful arranging attempts will raise the difficulty of the skinning process. Several Crafting Disciplines offer techniques that will make the arranging process easier.

SYNTAX:

ARRANGE [creature] INFO - Identify how a creature can be arranged.
ARRANGE [creature] - Attempt to randomly arrange the critter for something.
ARRANGE [creature] for [skin/part/bone] - Arrange for the material specified.
NOTE - the [creature] is optional, as the system will try to find the last
creature you killed in the room by default.
   *** ARRANGE ALL INFORMATION ***
Players can access an advanced ARRANGE ALL action by learning the
Leather Tanning Expertise technique from an Outfitting Society Trainer.
Effect: , , , , Arrange improves the quality of a skin taken from a dead creature, at the cost of raising the difficulty to successfully pass the skinning contest. May be performed multiple times.

Rangers may ARRANGE ALL to perform their maximum of 5 arranges at once. The round time is 5 seconds. It can only be used if no single arrange has been used.

New skinning has been released for to Prime. TF will follow shortly.

The main changes are:

- Skin difficulty is based off of creature level, not arbitrary.
- Skin value is based off of creature level, not arbitrary. Top skin value has gone down.
- Exp is based off of base ranks vs difficulty, not modified ranks. This means you should boost yourself as much as possible now.
- Arrange is opened to all guilds, but Rangers are the best at it.
- Arrange can be done multiple times. A Ranger who arranges the maximum amount is guaranteed a perfect skin if they have the skill to obtain it, but all other guilds only have a chance at it.

1) Each arrange teaches, and makes the subsequent attempts more difficult. This is the only way to increase difficulty in a way that increases exp. I.E. if you arrange 3 times and skin, not only are you getting (increasing) exp per arrange, you are getting better exp on that skin than if you just typed 'arrange'.

2) If your skinning is not ready for a hunting area, you are not going to learn. Don't expect to learn in a 500 combats creature with 200 skinning or whatever. Flip side. Do not expect a creature with 150 in combat to each you at 325 in skinning.

3) Don't use large weapons to skin. If you're a Ranger you have a perk of taking no penalty regardless of what you use, but if you're not you're going to suffer and it's not going to help your exp or your chances. All light edges are good, skinning knife is best.

--- GM-Ssra has mentioned in the Ranger folders that in Skinning 2.0, the arrange ability will no longer be the same. It is being opened to all Guilds, and it will allow a character to harvest specific parts from a dead creature (e.g. eyes, teeth, skin, tail). This is as-yet unconfirmed.
