Description: Discovered in an ancient cave by Dwarven Warrior Mages, the Aegis of Granite spell is one of the rarefied patterns known as Elemental Transformations, carrying with it the limitations of such magic. By invoking a metaphysical manifestation of Earth energy in your body, it will augment your strength, stamina, and shield usage.
Effect: +Shield Usage skill, +Stamina (stat), +Strength (stat)
Example Messaging: You reach with your fist toward the ground.

The mental strain of this pattern is considerably eased by your ritual focus. You draw forth a pulse of dusky green Earth energy and channel it into your body. As the transformation takes hold, so does a sensation of solidity.

Devices/Tattoos: No devices or tattoos documented.
  • Ritual spells may require the use of a ritual focus.
  • Visible in LOOK description when cast: Your skin has taken on a greenish granite-like sheen, roughening your features and lending you the forbidding appearance of living stone.
  • Appears in the room description as: <Player> who has a stony visage.
  • Duration at 300 prep is 30 roisaen. Duration at 800 mana is 89 roisaen.
  • Can not be used in conjunction with Mantle of Flame. Message if one is already upon you: You cannot undergo more than one Elemental Transformation at a time.
