Spellbook cases are wearable, compartmentalized containers that offer proper spellbook storage allowing spellbooks to be safely carried and transported, even in inclement weather.
These cases are divided into five (5) noun restricted compartments that hold:
- a spellbook.
- wands, rods and rattles.
- runestones.
- scrolls and parchments.
- (miscellaneous): herbs, incense, oil, potions, naphtha, burins, talismans and other spell components.
The spellbook compartment is padded and custom-fit to the contours of spellbooks, and will eliminate the occasional damage that may result from jostling around in unsuitable containers [1]. It will only accommodate a single (1) spellbook. The other compartments hold more than their measured interior capacities indicate. The miscellaneous (herbs, incense, oil, potions, naphtha, burins, talismans and other spell components) compartment will accept all spellbook accessories. Spellbook cases are sold at spellbook shops and come in two sizes: small and standard.
Syntax
- Spellbook cases can be worn with WEAR spellbook CASE, and removed from the body and placed in-hand with REMOVE spellbook CASE.
- They can also be OPENed and CLOSEd while worn or held. The case must be open to interact with its compartments. Only one compartment is visible and accessible at a given time.
- LOOK spellbook CASE is used to view the active compartment.
- LOOK IN spellbook CASE or INVENTORY spellbook CASE will list the active compartment's contents (if any). When a spellbook case is open, items stowed in a compartment other than the active one are hidden from the INVENTORY and LOOK IN commands. When the case is closed, all contents are hidden.
- STUDY spellbook CASE will explain the turn command's function.
- TURN spellbook CASE toggles the acttive compartment. The toggle order follows the compartment listing above.
- From 0) spellbook, it transitions to 1) wands, rods and rattles, 2) runestones, 3) scrolls and parchments, 4) miscellaneous, and then 5) back to spellbook.
