			Viptorian was appointed to the role of Therengia's Ambassador to Ilithi by Baron Jeladric in 374 AV. Viptorian chose to bring two of his best and most trusted friends, [[Maulem]] and [[Drexella]] with him to serve on his staff. Viptorian and his staff were met with some skepticism, as Viptorian was a Gor'Tog and all three were Barbarians known for being a bit rough around the edges. Viptorian however, in his initial introduction Ferdahl [[Kukalakai]], impressed with his refinement and quick qit. He quickly earned favor amongst the court, finding himself a trusted confidant, messanger, and friend, especially with Khalo rae Aev [[Edenlaen]]. <br>

			Viptorian remained in service as Ambassador to Ilithi until the execution of Fehrdal Kukalakai in 376 AV. After attending her memorial and a period of mourning, Viptorian returned to Therengia and offered his resignation from his post, which Baron [[Gyfford]] accepted. He was overcome by a sense of grief, loss, and slight sense that he had failed Therengia, Ilithi, and the Ferdahl. Upon his resignation, Viptorian became reclusive and largely stayed out of the public eye and near his home outside the western gates of Riverhaven. His sense of duty never waivered, but he began to doubt himself and think that if he had listened to the guidance of [[Mo]] and trained more, he might have been able to do something to save Kukalakai from her grim fate. <br>

	Viptorian took the young man under his arm and began to train him on polite society, service, and honor. Viptorian saw a chance to give Borsaren the early advantages he never had. Knowing that he had limited time left, Viptorian decided to adopt Borsaren so that the Arcinian name could continue and, hopefully, continue building on Viptorian’s legacy. In early 435, Viptorian adopted Borsaren formally, making him an Arcinian and his only heir. At this time, feeling a bit more of a sense of purpose, Viptorian decided to take Borsaren and move back to Therengia. <br>
