Verdant hearts are not usually cut, polished, or otherwise altered, because it ruins the natural shape and surface texture which is part of their allure.

Verdant hearts sometimes appear to possess some lingering magical properties, but this is not always the case, and of the ones found so far, most that do contain perceptible magic seem to have only a finite supply of it.

Typical description: Tiny ridges cover the spherical, crystalline surface, giving it a rough texture, but also capturing light to brilliant effect. Glimmers of verdant light flicker within its core, barely perceptible through the dominant (greenish / sanguine-stained / blackened) sheen.
