She dragged them to the center of her shop and got to work. Opening the largest gift box, she placed one of the books inside to give it some weight and placed the lid on the box. She repeated the same process with the other boxes, placing one on top of the other, adding glue and twine for support, until she had a colorful set of make-shift stairs. Standing proudly before her finagled solution, she tugged at the bottom of her military jacket, adjusting the fit and started to scramble to the top with a treasure for sale in hand.
