'''Alive:''' Dressed in tattered black rags that drape over him like a voluminous cloak and with twisted gnarled roots making up his limbs, the Scarecrow stands with arms outstretched. In place of a face is a tattered burlap bag, with an unnatural orange fire lighting up his hollow eyes. His face is covered with a painted on grin, and the large straw hat on his head only serves to make him appear more sinister.

The origins of the Scarecrow are a mystery. It's fairly obvious that the creature is steeped in magic of the darkest kind.
