Qihhth comes from a wealthy family of cloth-weavers and cloth-merchants from [[Muspar'i]].
Qihhth comes from a wealthy family of cloth-weavers and cloth-merchants from Muspar'i. Her family is wide-ranging and well-connected, and tends to be headed by a matriarch. Many, but not all members of Qihhth's family are of Sraan Malk. Qihhth's mother, a high-ranking and important member of the trade clan was often traveling or otherwise unable to rear her daughter. Thus, Qihhth was largely raised by an ever-changing group of female family members ('Aunts'), among other such children whose parents were often traveling or away ('cousins'). Qihhth's father has not been revealed by her mother, but is rumored to be a desert shaman who rarely visits the city.

Qihhth's immediate family was deeply impacted by the events of the struggle against [[Lyras]]. The S'Kra Mur woman has a complete, unreasoning hatred of Necromancers instilled in her from earliest childhood. Qihhth does not consider Necromancers to be people, and devotes her life to harrying them and ending their works, if she can. In the case of some particularly perverse Necromancers, Qihhth will not acknowledge or speak to them, considering them to be animals or demon-puppets.
