This isn't actually correct. {{PRel|Barbarian 3.0|Barbs}} and {{PRel|Bard 3.0|Bard}}s won't be able to train [[Bardic Lore skill|BL]] or [[Expertise]] at all out the gate. Once they can, it'll be a hard req.

{{PRel|Ranger 3.0|Rangers}} have a soft req for [[scouting]], but {{PRel|Thief 3.0|thieves}} intentionally have no {{PRel|backstab skill|backstabbing reqs}}. Backstabbing isn't inherent in being a thief - It's just an ability you have access to and can train, and is respected by your guildleaders as "Thiefly enough to circle with".

If/when we expand the notion of backstabbing (That's a different discussion), it may become more embedded in the core spirit of the guild.
