That's pretty much how it's written now. The Gods were involved in the creation / sanctifcation of the {{PRel|Soul System|Paladin Soul}}, but after that it sort of it went its own direction, with its own purpose.

It suffers only by the fact it was written by one person, instead of the collaborative efforts of the others (which resulted in much more lore). I think what is, is actually pretty good.

If someone knows, really knows, what's up with the Paladin's soul, they'd have a pretty complete understanding of the hows and whys of the way some Paladins NPCs have acted in the past.
