New page

{{Post
|p=Howdy folks. Managed to pull an all-nighter and get some of the first arrow templates out into Test.

In DRT you can now skin parts from Cougars, Boars, Hele'la, Angiswaerd, Sabertooth cats, Elsralael, Basilisks and turn them into arrowheads. Drakes, Ice-Adders, Firecats and Stormbulls can also be skinned for parts to produce elemental damage arrowheads.

There is a page in Chapter 5 explaining how this is done, but the syntax is {{PRel|Shape command|SHAPE <part>}} while holding a metal or stone object. Arrowheads can be combined and broken like other materials.

You can make shafts from lumber using a wood shaper. SHAPE <lumber> INTO SHAFT. At present the wood type used doesn't affect the final arrow stats. I may spend a week or so trying to add some additional flexibility here. Not sure yet. Shafts can be combined/broken like other materials.

Flights are sold in the crossing engineering shop (and others soon). Flights can be combined and broken like other materials. I hope to add 3 types of flights total that affect the final arrow properties.

Arrow stats are pre-determined by the template. So all cougar arrows will have the same stats when capped.

Metal arrows aren't in yet. Hope to get those soon. I also don't have arrow fumble/recover balance modifiers in, or the new durability breakage chance.

Mostly looking for feedback and bugs with this initial release. Thanks for the help with testing!

----------------------------------------
"I have no data yet. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories instead of theories to suit facts."
