	After visiting the various guilds within the city of Crossing she realized that her place in life was going to be that of a healer. She surmised that preserving life would be far more difficult than taking one and has since learned this to be a partial truth. 	Maliese started her life as a misguided youngster who had no clue what to do with herself. After visiting the many guilds located within the Crossing, she thought glory could be attained without the use of a blade so she joined the Empath guild. Maliese is a traveler. She has been as far north as trails lead, has crossed the oceans to view the beauty of distant islands and has wandered south to reside in the great city of Shard. She doesn’t travel so much for adventure as she does for curiosity often times leaving with a pocket full of platinum coins only to return home with a few silvers!

Maliese respects all guilds and races, even if some have weird rituals and look funny! She hates conflict and avoids it at all costs. If in need, you will be taken care of. Although frowned upon by the Empath guild, Maliese has laid down her life to save others on more than a few occasions.

Maliese is somewhat of a loner. Her cluttered life excludes her from many activities including organized hunts, quests, orders or military duty. She longs for the opportunity to join such an adventure, but will not until her attention can become more focused. She does however have a very limited set of friends whom she calls upon if ever in need. These are Fyler, Narbesa and Bysch. She has known these folks since her birth and would lay down her life for each of them.
