You begin to sing "Winesong's Tale", a tale of a Halfling Trader by Minuet Sableclaw and Mori saVere-Ashke.

: "Winesong was winsome, a bonny young lad
: All women and money this Trader did have
: But one thing eluded sweet Winesong's fair grasp,
: The love of a maiden he had yet to clasp."

: "The Halfling he went to Pheran that day,
: The Priest that he trusted when he was away.
: And Pheran he smiled, a glint in his eye.
: A riddle gave to Winesong that he then did try,"

: "There lay to the south a mythical horde
: Where jewels and treasures of Old Times were stored.
: Winesong's eyes were lit, he asked for the rules
: His mind enraptured at the thought of the clues."

: "So Winesong he set out upon this dark quest,
: He traveled with none at the Priest's sole request.
: 'Return here a year hence, to win a woman your bride,
: A woman of beauty to love at your side.'"

: "'An if you come hither without winning the prize,
: Then Urrem'tier shall gaze swift into your eyes.'
: So the Trader he packed, the Trader he left,
: His heart filled with stories of treasure unkept."

: "Winesong, he traveled a year and a day,
: To Mount Stonewind where the treasure did lay.
: He unsheathed his sword, and bolstered his pride,
: For the treasure he needed was hidden inside."

: "He fought through the gateway into the dark tower,
: He fought the unlife to the lone silent bower
: That rested aloft in the heights in the snow,
: Far on Mount Stonewind where few Halflings dare go."

: "And there he broke down the dark wooden door,
: Expecting to find a treasure of yore.
: Instead there an Elf lay, bleeding near dead,
: Her body tortured by Humans who fled."

: "She stirred as he entered, her eyes flashing on him,
: He saw her face then, and her smile turned grim,
: She was not the lovliest maid he had seen,
: But within her eyes her wisdom did gleam."

: "Unthinking he cut swift the bonds from her arms,
: She smiled weakly at his noble charms
: As he helped her to rise and he helped her be free,
: The gemstones forgotten as they then did flee."

: "Winesong the Trader returned home with her,
: He fed and he clothed the maid Nara as sure
: As stars shine above us eternal and true,
: And then the Priest came to visit the two."

: "'Winesong, dear old friend, you have found the prize,
: The treasure of ages that was lost to eyes.
: Winesong, you have now the greatest of gold,
: One who remembers the history of old.'"

: "The Halfling he smiled at Nara his friend,
: Though scarred he loved her, as Gods they did send
: Him the woman he asked for, the one he had found
: And as he looked at her, knew his heart was bound."

: "So Winesong and Nara, they wed on the hill
: In Arthe Dale, in springtime, beneath the stone mill.
: In sunshine with flowers encircling each brow,
: They made vows they kept that have lasted till now.

The song ends in an echo of a trembling vibrato.
