			The Harawep's Spider and Harawep's Pawn spider are especially large and menacing species of black widow. The Harawep's Spider attacks those who venture into the Sleeping Dragon Corn Maze, while the Harawep's Pawn spider is primarily encountered as an artistic depiction. Like other black widows, they have globular abdomens and can be recognized by the trademark red hourglass marking on the underside of the abdomen. Despite having eight eyes, they have poor eyesight and rely on vibrations to detect prey or threats.

			Nightweaver, nightreaver, and nightstalker unyns ("spider" in Gamgweth) inhabit the wilderness near Riverhaven and the Surlaenis Sea Caves. All three species are larger than Gor'Togs and have bodies covered in wiry black hair. Nightweaver and nightreaver unyns have silver-grey around the eyes, while nightstalker unyns, the largest and most aggressive of the family, can be recognized by three crimson stripes running down the back.

			Reaper spiders are a species of recluse spider whose name comes from the skull-like marking on the carapace. Their long, slender legs are arranged laterally, giving them a vaguely crab-like appearance, and their six eyes are arranged in three pairs. Reaper spiders have necrotic venom that causes localized tissue death.

			The tomiek-iguji ("deceit-spider" in Gorbesh) broodlings were spawned by the Massive Arachnid of Hollow Eve. Like their progenitor, the broodlings were biomechanical by dint of divine will. They were composed of crude tomiek chitin, which the Spidersworn could refine into tomiek. The body of the broodling was the size of a small caravan, with long but sturdy legs to match. Armor of metallic black chitin protected the carapace and legs, and they were armed with scimitar-like fangs of chitin. No broodlings have been spotted since the demise of the Massive Arachnid in 432, leading experts to believe they may be extinct.

			Sacred to Harawep, wildling spiders are a sentient race that is associated with the cult of the Spidersworn. A fully grown adult is approximately two to three feet in length (including the legs), and coloring depends on the type of mana on which it has recently fed. Effectively immortal unless killed, their health is tied to that of the Web of Fate. The venom of the wildling spider transforms Humans into Spidersworn, and elders are capable of spinning wildlace.

			Zynachi ("assassin" in Gamgweth) spiders are a swamp-dwelling species with three fangs and sixteen long, crab-like legs tipped with hooked mandibles. The circular carapace is covered in black, chitinous plating and has a ridged surface with spines of frosty green. In 389, an unusually docile specimen was sold at auction. This spider had a symbiotic relationship with its owner, feeding on his blood and then secreting a black ooze that coalesced into a suit of living armor.
