The pewter token is commonly used to modify the appearance of a Moon Mage's shadow servant. Not being such a mage, you're fairly certain you couldn't activate such a device.

Were the pewter token to be activated, the following modifications to a servant would be made:
Base Description: "a regal Shadow Servant"
Long Description: "a regal Shadow Servant resembling a rampant wolf"
LOOK Description: "Fiery eyes shift between white and golden colored as they stare out from the shadowy beast."

These are compatible with the scroll system for alterations. You must use this item as the base when you GET your scroll if you wish to have it altered.

The pewter token is commonly used to modify the appearance of a Moon Mage's shadow servant. Being such a mage with knowledge of the spell, you could INVOKE the pewter token to reshape the shadows that form your servant. The changes would take affect at its next summoning.
