No one knows much about Hoggarm's background before he popped up in [[Crossing]]. Mostly because no one can make much sense of anything he says. He claims to be a "Sent-Tog", but no Dwarf can be found to corroborate the statement. Furthermore, many who have interacted with the young Tog seem under the impression that he openly admits to being a Necromancer... maybe. It's rather unclear to most, and no one is sure if the Tog himself actually knows or understands what he's admitting to. It's also possible he thinks he's an Alchemist, rather than a Necromancer, and just has a poor understanding of vocabulary. Either way, most citizens of Crossing find him a bit dodgy and prefer to avoid him. Which is difficult as he is a very friendly and outgoing Tog who has no sense of boundaries, personal space (or property), or social queues - like people running away screaming in fright.
