The skill contest for an offhand attack will now consider your skill in weapon and the offhand skill.

Offhand Melee

We plan to implement offhand melee attacks in the next update process. Here is how it will work.

[VERB] [TARGET]* [HAND] [AREA]*
* = optional

JAB RIGHT - Right hand jab
SLICE LEFT - Left hand slice

ATTACK GOBLIN LEFT RIGHT EYE - Attack goblin via left hand weapon and target the right eye.

Basically you want to specify hand before specifying area.

Example:

You glance down to see a longsword in your right hand and a scimitar in your left hand.

< Moving with powerful grace, you sweep a longsword at a s'sugi malchata. A s'sugi malchata fails to dodge, only partially avoiding the impact. The longsword lands a good strike that temporarily knocks away the malchata's breath with a light blow to the chest.

< Moving as one fluid extension of power, you slice a scimitar at a s'sugi malchata. A s'sugi malchata attempts to dodge. The scimitar lands a light hit to the malchata's left arm.

< With the speed and temerity of a swooping falcon, you sweep a scimitar at a goblin. A goblin attempts to dodge, mis-stepping and blundering into the blow. The scimitar lands a brushing strike to the goblin's right eye.

Melee Restrictions

Pole ranged weapon wielded in the right hand will defunct any weapon in the left hand.

Two handed weapons cannot be dual wielded.

Weapon Primary Guild - Can wield heavy weapons (or equivalent) in offhand

Weapon Secondary Guild - Can wield medium weapons (or equivalent) in offhand

Weapon Tertiary Guild - Can wield light weapons (or equivalent) in offhand
