 Designed to conform with the wearer's body, the supple armor has seen its share of wear and tear, marred with small scratches, cuts, fraying and weathering from the elements.  Faded platinum cording binds the edges together, lacing along the seams through silver eyelets.  Some laces straight down the back, ending in a small tie at the base of the wearer's spine.  Branded into the left breast of the armor is the Empaths' Guild crest, overshadowed with twin alfars crossing gladii in the background. There appears to be something written on it.

 The sheer, voluminous cloak is weathered from both time and use, its once-pristine hem tattered and stained with blood and grime.  The Empath Guild's crest, depicting an open hand reaching out to provide comfort, a wreath of healing herbs resting in the palm, is embroidered on over the chest on the left side of the garment.  The large concealing hood is edged with a beautifully embroidered scrolling flame pattern.<br>

 Meticulously sculpted and polished amber centers highlight against the creamy silken petals surrounding them.  The contrast of hues is hauntingly beautiful, resembling freshly spilled blood on snow.  Gentle tucks and folds have been applied to the fabric by a master crafter, transforming the cloth into a blossom so realistic it seems almost fragrant.

			Arianah was born in Therengia, on the 14th day of the 10th month of Nissa the Maiden in the year of the Amber Phoenix, 367 years after the victory of Lanival the Redeemer. Her mother was Elothean and her father was human. After her father was arrested under false accusations, she hid as her mother was slaughtered by a nobleman's personal guard. She was left to the streets of Theren, forced to steal and beg for food until one day, a shadow of man approached her while she crouched in an alley with a brittle piece of bread between her tiny hands.<br>
			This man proved to be her salvation - he smuggled her onto a barge, pushing a few coins and a map into her hands, a shining smile the only thing visible underneath a dark and concealing hood. After traveling for weeks it seemed, following the map given to her by the kind stranger, she found herself at a rickety gate leading to a farmstead. This was owned by her fathers's sister-in-law, and would be her caretaker until she came of age.<br>
			On the quiet farm in northern Zoluren, Arianah grew up with her cousin, Arystah. She spent her days with her new-found sister, climbing and fishing in the streams. Arianah was trained in herbal medicines by her Aunt, and practiced on her cousin when they were out playing (since she had a knack for scuffing herself up and getting into trouble, which of course led her to the Ranger guild eventually). One day in Crossings, during their seasonal trip to sell crops and trade, she found herself drawn to the Empath guild. Sneeking inside she spent hours in the library, only to be discovered by the Empath Guild Leader of Crossings herself, Annael.<br>
			After this meeting, Arianah knew she wanted.. nay, was destined to belong to the Empath guild, and once she came of age, she would tell her Aunt of her decision.<br>
			The season she was of age, she finally mustered up the courage to tell her Aunt she would not be returning home with her and her younger cousin. Her Aunt smiled, laugh lines creasing deeply, and said 'My dear Aria, we all knew this day was coming, be safe my heartling, and make us proud'. Arianah watched as her Aunt pulled a scuffed backpack from the back of the wagon, packed with all of her belongings, and pressed it into her hands, kissing her cheek softly. Thus, Arianah began her journey as an Empath, always striving for knowledge, and to help those in need.
