Description
Draped in priestly vestments, this ancient-looking Gor'Tog woman cuts a frail and emaciated figure. She has mismatched eyes peering out from under her cowl, one cyan and one ebon. On her belt is a glowing silver chain threaded with a multitude of crystal beads that clatter together at every movement.
Special Attacks
This is a special attack that can stun even on glancing strikes like this
A ragged wind hag suddenly twirls in place and vanishes into a vortex of cyan-black smoke! Almost immediately, you feel her rancid breath upon your nape, an adder-shaped sacrificial dagger pressing against your throat.
The sacrificial dagger cuts your neck with a glancing strike before you can get away from her!
[You're bruised, badly balanced with opponent overwhelming you.]
Dead
Draped in priestly vestments, this ancient-looking Elven woman lies dead, twiggy fingers clutching a grungy silver chain threaded with a multitude of crystal beads.
__NOTOC__

Description
Standing about eight feet at the shoulder, the storm bull is an awe-inspiring sight, with a glistening silvery hide, long pearly horns, and a mist-tipped tail.

Recall
You recall everything noteworthy about a storm bull... which is apparently nothing.

They are known to cast Ethereal Shield, Tingle.

They are not known to carry loot in locked boxes.

i
Standing about eight feet at the shoulder, the storm bull is much larger than its domesticated relatives. It has been drawn with a glistening silvery hide, long pearly horns, and a mist-tipped tail. A small notation in a lower corner indicates that the bulls have an uncanny affinity for electrical magic and have been seen to do things that much resemble the ethereal shield and gar zeng spells used by Warrior Mages.

In Depth
Swarmy; Storm Bulls will frequently arrive in groups of three.

Special Defenses
*Immune to electricity.

Spells
*casts spell::Ethereal Shield:
:A storm bull tosses its head and snorts. Brilliant sparkles of electricity play across its coat.

:A shimmering shield surrounds a storm bull.
*casts spell::Tingle:
:A storm bull drums its silvery hooves upon the ground.

:A storm bull stares at your hands for a moment, but nothing happens.

Equipment/Loot
Storm Bull hides are used by outfitters to create storm-bull leather items.

Jagged horns can be shape into arrowheads or boltheads.
Description
Inky black scales cover the Dragon Priest assassin's lithe body from head to foot, undulating gently with each liberal breath slowly exhaled. A deep crimson scarf winds like a serpent around the lower features of the face, its tattered ends cascading down the wearer's back in veritable waterfall of blood-hued silk. An impressive selection of curious tools of its trade dangle from thick loops on its scuffed black leather belt, crafted for both stealthy and easy access at a moments notice. Its large glaring eyes, two pools of shadow enveloping a fiery orange halo of pigmentation, fail to reveal any hint of emotion underneath its burning gaze.
__NOTOC__

Description
Thick, articulated hide plating covers the desert armadillo from its dripping, twitchy snout to its barbed tail. Perfectly adapted to blend into a desert environment, the animal's coloration is a mottled patchwork of sand and tan. With powerful claws for digging protective burrows, a barbed tail, and flexible plating that allows the creature to roll itself up tightly, the armadillo appears well built to defend itself.
Special Attacks
Webbing: An adult desert armadillo rears up and spews forth a blast of stringy white webbing at you!

Combat Notes
*Standard Attacks: Armadillos use their claws to swipe, swing, slash, and lash at opponents.
*Armadillo Shields: Armadillos use their scale plating as an extraordinarily effective shield. Players should use attacks that bypass shield, such as the Lightning Bolt spell, or use blunt weapons to attack.
It is carrying nothing!

Area Information
The Dunes of Despair is a vast maze, but it is stable, so if you can read the twisted map you might be able to escape. The Dunes of Despair used to be inhabited by westanuryn and mihmen, but they have been replaced by adult and elder armadillos.

Estate holders can also find these armadillos on a plateau in a non-maze area. There are two entry points with an athletics check, the easier of which requires ~250 ranks of athletics.

Miscellaneous
Armadillos were introduced into DragonRealms in early 2007. They first appeared as part of an invasion on the Northern Trade Route along side War Mammoths and other upper level creatures. They were a devestating force, especially the Elder Desert Armadillo. However, since that first invasion their skill level has become even higher.

* Stealths cap UNDER 1400 ranks. My lowest stealth at time of testing was 1400, and I learned nothing. Elders still teach a nice bit above this.
* Perception from HUNT and spotting Adults caps at LESS than 1350 perception.
* Per Madigan, 552 skinning seems gets about 30-40% success rate for skinning without any arranges.
* Per Djordje, 875 skinning starts to see consistent success fully arranged

* Soft-capped evasion as survival prime at 920 ranks. SERBITAR (talk) 02:37, 11 April 2021 (CDT)
You focus your magical senses on a honeycomb opal pendant suspended from a braided onyx hide cord.
Small magical currents trace across the surface of the pendant.
You recognize the pattern as a manifestation of Lunar magic.
The pendant is scribed with a minor invisibility spell and has fifteen charges left.
The pendant is enchanted to render the wearer magically unlocatable when properly rubbed.
Assessing the complexity of the enchantment, you think it would require adept-level skill with Arcana in order to use.
KHADDGAR
