==Role-playing in General==
Roleplaying (also known as RP) is acting out your fictional character's personality, motivations, and actions instead of those of you the player. It can be grand or small-scale, but the experience is very fun for many players! 
 
This page is intended as a resource that DragonRealms players can use to help foster and build the RP community, and to house useful information both for brand new players and established players to feel more confident in how they can jump into RP in DR.

==Where to Find Other People to RP With==

Characters gather in various [[Popular Gathering Places|places]] throughout the game to socialize, though some are more permanent fixtures or more highly trafficked than others.

You can also talk to other characters ICly over long distances via:
* [[Gwethdesuan|gwethdesuans]], known popularly as gweths. Gweths can be purchased from other PCs.
* [[Item:Albredine crystal ring|albredine crystal rings]], often simply called crystal rings. These can be purchased from static shops in the game.
* [[Item:Colorless albredine ring|various colored albredine rings]], which will allow group talk between anyone who has a ring attuned to the same color. These are sometimes dropped by creatures, and can be purchased in static shops in game.
* The [[Thoughtcast]] spell. This spell allows the caster to send a message directly to another.
* a warrior mage's [[Familiar|familiar]], which can relay messages from its master.
* some other special items, such as [[Gwererest shell|gwererest shells]] and various types of [[Item:Dull grey raven charm|bird charms]].

There is absolutely no way that Silver Leucros start at 70 ranks. Closer to 100. -- [[User:Tea|Tea]]
: There is an issue with things like this where people seem to believe that the skill caps are the minimum amount of weapons to hit, often times because these lists are filled out by people who are backtraining. We'd MUCH prefer if they listed the approximate level of both weapons and defenses needed to hunt there. hitting at 56 ranks with a pike with 20 agility so it isn't that ether.

To train here you need an average of 100 with normal at level stats but light armor wearers should be extra careful

As of Jan 2016, buffed warmie with defenses ~90, back training weapons ~70... Had no problems hitting them with weapons in the mid to high 60's. Defenses moving very well, except for Parry a bit above 90 moving slower. Able to handle four without serious threat. They are occasionally getting a couple low level hits through my defenses, but nothing that feels like a serious threat.
