Prince of [[found in::Zoluren]] ([[took power::364]] AV - [[left power::394| ]][[died::394]] AV). Preceded by his cousin [[Sirolarn]], succeeded by his son, [[Belirendrick IV]].

==Milestones==
Born [[born::335]] AV. Only son of Prince [[Belirendrick III]] and wife, Lady [[Selan]] [[Weyato]].

Approx 347 - 353 AV: Fostered in Therengia as a paladin squire with Baron [[Jeladric IV]].

In 360 AV his father [[Belirendrick III]] was assassinated. With the assistance of his mother's relatives, [[Vorclaf]] fled to Therengia and remained in hiding while an investigation into the murder took place.

In 364 AV with the assistance and support of the Therengia, assumed the throne after executing his cousin [[Sirolarn]] for the murder of his father. [[Vorclaf]] had [[Sirolarn]]'s head placed on a pike outside the East Gate of Crossing.

In 373 AV (Dolefaren) his coronation was held at the Keep. The Baron, the Ferdahl, many representatives of the Zoluren Houses, and most of the Zoluren Guild Leaders were present.

In 374 AV recalled and appointed new command for the Zoluren militia to combat the growing threat from various 'evil' forces allying against the Realm.

In 376 AV appoints his cousin, [[Lindryl]] interim Royal Steward of Zoluren and vowing vengeance upon the Outcasts for the murder of the Ferdahl, mobilizes the militia for the march south in an attempt reclaim Ilithi. He is joined by his cousin, Baron [[Gyfford]] of Therengia and later Prince [[Fayne]], favored son of Queen [[Morganae]] of the [[Mountain Elf]] clan.

In 376 AV the necromancer [[Velmix]] manages to place a curse upon Vorclaf in an effort to stop his interference in Shard. While quick action by his people prevented full possession, the effects would linger for some time.

In 382 AV Vorclaf married Princess [[Arilana]] of [[Andreshlew]]. Leaves Zoluren once again in the care of Royal Stewart Lindryl and travels with his new bride.

In 384 AV returns to [[Ulf'Hara Keep]] with Princess Arilana after receiving word that [[Consumption]] has stricken Crossing and the Royal Steward Lindryl is gravely ill.

In 391 AV the Princess Arilana gave birth to fraternal twins. The older Princess [[Inavia]], named for Arilana's mother. Followed by a boy, Prince [[Belirendrick IV]], named for Vorclaf's father. When asked, Princess Arilana replied that both children resemble their father. (i.e. the children are human). See [[Post:Zoluren Questions! - 6/18/2009 - 16:59:53]].

In 392 AV (Fall) during a relative time of peace by Prince Vorclaf's decree, General [[Zukir]] disbanded and retired those remaining 'official' militias and active members as having served Zoluren with honor.

In 394 AV (Summer and early Fall), While a devote follower of [[Kertigen]] until this point, Vorclaf received visions from the Immortal [[Meraud]] used to fight the undead scourge [[Lyras]] and her thrall.

Died 394 AV (fall) at the hands of the Necromancer [[Lyras]] while leading a raid on her war camp. Upon his death, Lyras tries to take Vorclaf's soul, but Meraud intervened and takes the soul to the Starry Road. See [[The Battle of Sorvendig's Stand]].

==Death of father, ascent to throne==
In 360 AV, Prince [[Belirendrick III]] was killed under mysterious circumstances during [[DiSilveron Ball|Grand Ball]] at [[DiSilveron Manor]]. Vorclaf disappeared after this. In his absence, Vorclaf's cousin [[Sirolarn]] was named Regent and subsequently appointed himself Prince.

Later, during the conclusion of [[Sorrow]]'s war, [[Vorclaf]] returned to Zoluren with Baron [[Jeladric IV]]'s army from [[Therengia]].

A delegation from [[Dirge]] was sent to [[Ulf'Hara Keep]] to negotiate with [[Sirolarn]]. He killed a member of the delegation and then fled south, but was captured before reaching the gondola. [[Sirolarn]] was subsequently executed and had his head placed on a pike outside the East Gate of Crossings.

Vorclaf ruled for several years, preferring to avoid the pomp and vanity that surrounded his cousin's coronation. He eventually acquiesced to a more subdued and appropriate ceremony (Oct 26 2003) in Ulf'Hara Keep.

Fended off [[Molphant]] and [[Midjure]]'s attempt to take throne. Later forgave those who were duped by Midjure into assisting with the plot, amongst them [[Pureblade]], [[Toren]], [[Laelia]], [[Valloa]], [[Kakun]] and [[Viptorian]].

Thrill-killed by the Moon Mage Rumet.

==Trading Card==
Vorclaf [[house is::Sorvendig]] is the son of Prince Belirendrick Sorvendig and Princess Selan. When he was 25, his father was assassinated by his cousin, Sirolarn. Fearing his cousin might then kill him, Vorclaf fled Zoluren to seek asylum in the north. During the Sorrow War, he returned to his homeland, and with the support of the Therengian Baron, claimed the throne of Zoluren.
