This quest will require you to spend time waiting for triggers in rooms that spawn [[https://elanthipedia.play.net/Sinister_Maelshyvean_hierophant::link|Maelshyvean Hierophants]]. While waiting for the circles to open doors to the altar, you cannot retreat from the Hierophants. Doing so will cause you to have to step back into the circle starting the 30 second timer over again. This can be particularly dangerous for characters doing this at level.&lt;br /&gt;

#Climb to the top of the Temple to the High Priestess’s Chambers and {{com|ASK}} {{tt|Tallis about resurrection}}.&lt;br /&gt;

#Get Goblet then {{com|FILL}} {{tt|my goblet with chalice}}. You might want to get more than one of these just in case you die the first time (can only pick one goblet up every 24 hours). If you have a chalice in your inventory, close off the container holding it.&lt;br /&gt;
#Now you need to purchase an {{ilink|i|altar candle}} from the Riverhaven Cleric Shop or a {{ilink|i|tall silvery altar candle}} from the monk&#039;s cart in the Temple in Crossing. You might want to bring more than one altar candle just in case. Make sure to bring a flint or lighter along as well.&lt;br /&gt;
#Head to the altar in the [[Zaulfung]] out the east gate using these maps: [[RanikMap31]] and [[RanikMap31a]]. The Zaulfung swamp between map 31 and map 31a is an unmapped randomized maze. You’ll need to wander to the Easternmost sections of the swamp until you find a tree that you can climb, climb up the tree, go east, and go down and you’ll be in the mapped area of 31a. Keep [[Protection from Evil]] up in this area to prevent the [[Zaulfung#Giant_Skeletal_Claw|giant skeletal claw]] from crushing you.&lt;br /&gt;

When I went through the Statue with the blue orb had in the room description talk of shadows and the room with the statue holding the black orb the room description had talk of being cold.&lt;br /&gt;
#After touching the orbs head to the room to the North, you’ll have to go up each corridor to the northwest and northeast and pull the arm and tail respectively. I went up the Northwest path first to pull the arm. Head back south as soon as possible because this will hurt you. &lt;br /&gt;
#After pulling the arm, go the other direction and pull the tail, same as the arm, and head south as soon as possible.&lt;br /&gt;
#Head back to where the paths split northwest and northeast there will now be a new path to the north.&lt;br /&gt;
#Head north then climb the bank and swim north to the other bank and climb bank again.&lt;br /&gt;
#Head north and step into the circle in about 30 seconds you’ll be transported. when you step off the circle you’ve been transported. If you see a [[Sinister Maelshyvean hierophant]], run! You will then find yourself in the room where the ebony coffin is. In that room there is a tapestry, look/search behind it and there you will find a crank and a lever. Turn the crank so that the coffin rises. Then {{com|LOOK}} {{tt|starlight}} or {{com|LOOK}} {{tt|sunlight}} (depending on time of day) in the room and see what symbol it rests/shines on. For us, the starlight showed on the symbol of the wolf.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
{{tt|go}} {{tt|south}} to the room where there are two tapestries. Go tapestry, and there is a wheel and a rope there. {{com|PULL}} {{tt|rope}} and the wheel will move and show an image. {{com|LOOK}} {{tt|wheel}} to see the image. Match the image you see with the tables below. Then {{com|GO}} {{tt|sw}} and {{com|GO}} {{tt|other tapestry}} and do the same thing.&lt;br /&gt;

Once you do that dark and light tapestry part, go back into the room where the coffin is, and pull the lever behind the tapestry there, and the coffin will come crashing down on the bier with the symbol the starlight was shining on. If you get the guesses wrong (the ones you made behind the dark and light tapestries) it will come crashing down onto the floor.&lt;br /&gt;

After the coffin is on the bier its supposed to be on, you {{com|OPEN}} {{tt|coffin}}, {{com|GO}} {{tt|coffin}} and it will close on its own and you will end up at the [[RanikMap64d|abyss]]. Each person in the group has to go down separately.&lt;br /&gt;

When you first enter the abyss you need to get 3 claws from the [[Lanky grey lach|lanky grey lachs]] that are in the first part of it. Then the cleric needs to [[Bless|bless]] them, and find the 3 altars (altar of flesh, altar of soul and altar of mind) and put 1 blessed claw on each altar. It appears that you need enough utility ranks to cast Bless at 30 mana to overcome the resistance of the claws. You can adjust your spell stance integrity to help. As of 3/9/2018, it took a 46 mana bless to purge the resistance. Then you need to wait a moment or two and a crystalline bridge will appear in the room where the altar of the Soul is.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The altar of the Flesh is the safe room. The critters in this part of the quest are Feral Bone Mastiffs and Transparent Shylvic, Vaporous Bloodwraiths and Gargantuan Bone Golems. When you step onto the bridge, you will get a vision. Then you will get three choices of directions with an animal/symbol choice which relates to the direction. If you brought help, they can wait in the altar of flesh safe room until you are done.&lt;br /&gt;

There are 5 choices you have to make correctly before you can reach the dais where the grimoire is that you have to read before you learn Infusion. If you make the wrong choice, you will fall into Maelshyve&#039;s Ascent and be stunned for a moment. The bloodwraiths are in here so BE CAREFUL! I stepped into one room and one of them nailed me in one cast of fireball I think it was and I died. You have to run through the rooms but be careful while running because you can trip and fall, sometimes landing a few feet below on another level. Once you get to the top of it and go up, just {{com|GO}} {{tt|throne}} and you will end up in the safe room (altar of flesh). Then go ne all the way, and s all the way back to the altar of the soul. {{com|GO}} {{tt|bridge}} again and start all over if you&#039;ve failed.&lt;br /&gt;

If you take too long, the bridge will flicker and waver, then disappear and you will end up in Maelshyve&#039;s Ascent again. Then you will have to repeat the blessing of lach claws and putting them on the 3 altars part. Once you are successful and reach the dais, you need to open the grimoire, and then type {{com|READ}} {{tt|grimoire}} and stay there until you have read it. This part will take awhile, and you will be locked into Roundtime for a total of 6.5 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;

For us, the starlight showed on the symbol of the wolf.&lt;br /&gt;

Once you do that dark and light tapestry part, go back into the room where the coffin is, and pull the lever behind the tapestry there, and the coffin will come crashing down on the bier with the symbol the starlight was shining on. If you get the guesses wrong (the ones you made behind the dark and light tapestries) it will come crashing down onto the floor.&lt;br /&gt;

After the coffin is on the bier its supposed to be on, you {{com|OPEN}} {{tt|coffin}}, {{com|GO}} {{tt|coffin}} and it will close on its own and you will end up at the [[RanikMap64d|abyss]]. Each person in the group has to go down separately.&lt;br /&gt;

When you first enter the abyss you need to get 3 claws from the [[Lanky grey lach|lanky grey lachs]] that are in the first part of it. Then the cleric needs to [[Bless|bless]] them, and find the 3 altars (altar of flesh, altar of soul and altar of mind) and put 1 blessed claw on each altar. It appears that you need enough utility ranks to cast Bless at 30 mana to overcome the resistance of the claws. You can adjust your spell stance integrity to help. As of 3/9/2018, it took a 46 mana bless to purge the resistance. Then you need to wait a moment or two and a crystalline bridge will appear in the room where the altar of the Soul is.&lt;br /&gt;

The altar of the Flesh is the safe room. The critters in this part of the quest are Feral Bone Mastiffs and Transparent Shylvic, Vaporous Bloodwraiths and Gargantuan Bone Golems. When you step onto the bridge, you will get a vision. Then you will get three choices of directions with an animal/symbol choice which relates to the direction. If you brought help, they can wait in the altar of flesh safe room until you are done.&lt;br /&gt;

TIP: When you see the vision and have a choice... the correct way to respond is to go SE, S or SW... depending on which sector the animal spirit is in. You cannot go east, or west.&lt;br /&gt;

There are 5 choices you have to make correctly before you can reach the dais where the grimoire is that you have to read before you learn Infusion. If you make the wrong choice, you will fall into Maelshyve&#039;s Ascent and be stunned for a moment. The bloodwraiths are in here so BE CAREFUL! I stepped into one room and one of them nailed me in one cast of fireball I think it was and I died. You have to run through the rooms but be careful while running because you can trip and fall, sometimes landing a few feet below on another level. Once you get to the top of it and go up, just {{com|GO}} {{tt|throne}} and you will end up in the safe room (altar of flesh). Then go ne all the way, and s all the way back to the altar of the soul. {{com|GO}} {{tt|bridge}} again and start all over if you&#039;ve failed.&lt;br /&gt;

If you take too long, the bridge will flicker and waver, then disappear and you will end up in Maelshyve&#039;s Ascent again. Then you will have to repeat the blessing of lach claws and putting them on the 3 altars part. Once you are successful and reach the dais, you need to open the grimoire, and then type {{com|READ}} {{tt|grimoire}} and stay there until you have read it. This part will take awhile, and you will be locked into Roundtime for a total of 6.5 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;

PIRP are player issued roleplay points. Players initiated into the PIRP system get a monthly allotment of points to bestow on other players they feel should be rewarded for good roleplay. The recipient of one or more PIRP points have these points go directly into their RPA point pool.&lt;br /&gt;
===Joining the System===&lt;br /&gt;
To be a part of the PIRP system, a player must reach a certain number of points to their invisible RP score.  This RP score can be augmented by three things: your Total RP points received, warnings and cautions, and by a GM for RP.&lt;br /&gt;

As part of the PIRP system, you will now have the ability to reward a players efforts at role playing by giving them roleplaying points, just like the awards that GameMasters give out.  Each month you will receive a number of points based on your own record as a role player. The more RP awards you have gotten, the more points you will get each month.  These points can be given to another player using the &amp;lt;tt&amp;gt;RPA BESTOW&amp;lt;/tt&amp;gt; command (use &amp;lt;tt&amp;gt;RPA&amp;lt;/tt&amp;gt; for more information on the usage).  The number of points you can bestow varies. You can only bestow points on the same player once per point cycle.  Once you have given points to someone you will not be able to give them points again until your available point total resets.  The point reset occurs every 30 days from the day you first became part of the system.  Also, the points you can bestow do not carry over from month to month, so there is no reason to hoard them.  The points you receive each month can only be given to other players and cannot be used by you to earn RP awards. &amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;From the layers of nightsilk to the bones and threading, the natural elements of the fitted shroud confirm its homespun provenance.  Each shoulder is set with a construction of blood wolf and ram&#039;s head skulls spliced together with sinewy threads of unknown animal skins.  Thin nightsilk blindfolds are cinched across the empty eye sockets of each skull, and a bone-white skeletal animal paw is smeared onto the back of the raiment.&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;&#039;a makeshift shortbow bristling with spines displaying carved prey&#039;&#039;&#039; (altered felwood shortbow)&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;Perched above the grip, a crudely carved loggerhead shrike peers out from a tangle of sharp, thorny spines extending from the limbs of the felwood bow.  Reminiscent of a shrike&#039;s bounty, affixed sticks and shreds of foraged fabrics create nests around the tiny carved prey impaled upon the spines.  Among the hewn trophies are grasshoppers, horned beetles, mice, moles, lizards, and small snakes. There appears to be something written on it. A makeshift shortbow reads: &amp;quot;M. D.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
