Description
You see Timekeeper Aspirant Selesthiel Q'zhari'Ur, Scion of Grazhir, a S'Kra Mur.
He has a sharp-featured face and slitted gold eyes, dark gold-edged scales, a long tail and an athletic build.
He is a bit over average height for a S'Kra Mur.
He appears to be an adult.
He has a tattoo of a massive black dragon erupting from the shattered white moon on his shoulder. The World Dragon's enormous wings blot out the sun above the shards of Grazhir crashing down upon a scorched and burning Elanthia inked on his forearm.

He is wearing a heavy charcoal steelsilk robe with a crimson-lined cowl, an inlaid wedding band of smooth platinum and a cambrinth war mammoth calf held in the jaws of a plush World Dragon.
Quick Info
* Is a member of the Monks of the Crystal Hand.
* Bonded for 40 years (and counting!) to Inauri.
* Is outspoken in his support for violence as a form of affection.
* Has an <s>appreciation of</s> unhealthy obsession with naphtha.

Brief Bio
Selesthiel, or Sel, possesses a quick wit with a biting tongue. He engages eagerly in wordplay and debates and does not find violence to be a daunting complication.

Primarily spending his time on philosophical contemplation and magical research, Sel is an adept mage that can often be found in the company of his mate, Inauri. This has proven to be a useful endeavor as his research can often lead to nerve damage or massive backlashes, occasionally life-threatening for both him and those around him (usually Inauri).

Overview
The Dragon Priests are a religious faction of S'Kra Mur who worship the World Dragon. Today, there are a variety of differing beliefs and practices amongst them. The over-arching belief is a terrible, beautiful creature called the World Dragon hatched from Grazhir, the fourth moon of Elanthia. The shards of the broken moon rained down on Elanthia, doing tremendous damage that was soon outdone by the Dragon itself. Drawn to the life-fire (or inner fire) of Elanthia, the World Dragon attacked and consumed most if it. The Immortals feared the Dragon would destroy the sun next and so waged battle against the Dragon. They were unable to severely wound it or even to kill it. In the end, their solution was to put it to sleep. Phelim used his sands to send the Dragon into a deep slumber and the Immortals then placed the World Dragon in the center of Elanthia to serve as a new source of energy for the planet. The goddess Peri'el stays near the Dragon, her eternal song keeping the Dragon from waking again and destroying Elanthia.

Origins and the Sect of Sh'kial
Formed during times of discontent and poverty within the Empire of the Seven Pointed Star, Sh'kial began his religious movement in the Wyvern Mountains of Ilithi. He taught that the World Dragon should be appeased and pacified through worship and existential offerings. The sacrifices and rituals performed in its honor would allow the temperamental personality to be controlled and if appeased, the Dragon would cease its rumblings and a golden age of Peace could be achieved. In the corrupt times they lived in, the teachings of Sh'kial's sect were influential and popular among the S'Kra Mur and their beliefs spread far and wide, as evidenced by the Temple of the World Dragon in Muspar'i.

Sh'kial held a good-sized following and for some time, had a devoted protege named Dzree. She was a loyal student to the first Dragon Priest, but soon diverted from his teachings and began expressing her desire to sacrifice Humans, Elves, and sometimes other S'Kra Mur to the World Dragon. When Sh'kial learned of this, he spoke out against her. In retaliation, she assassinated him in 205 BL, beginning the decline of the sect of Sh'kial.

The Sect of Dzree and the Dragon Priest Empire
Naming herself High Priestess, Dzree's followers built themselves into a small army and began attacking villages in the mountains of Ilithi. As the greed for power and the need for more living sacrifices grew, the sect sent missionaries into Qi'Reshalia and spent many years growing into what would become known as the Dragon Priest Empire.

The Empire waged a war unlike any other Elanthia had seen. Their relentless numbers seizing control over all of the known lands and holding it captive for nearly one hundred sixty years. It was during this time that many S'Kra Mur began referring to her as The Hag and The Nameless One, either out of fear of speaking her name or simply with disgust at all she had done.

At the height of their power, the empire had managed to completely destroy the Bard's guild and decimate nearly all of the Ru'atin Peri'el.
Dzree's renowned hatred of Bards is noted to have stemmed from her failure to pass the entry examination for the Ru'atin in her youth and rekindled when the Bards of Elanthia became her greatest opposition.

Despite all of their cruelty, the Dragon Priests held a strong devotion to knowledge and their Empire produced many scholars, though most of those simply claimed that the "ancient beliefs of the Immortal followers are naught but lies." One of these supposed scholars, Miele, put forth the theory that Elotheans were actually Elven-Human hybrids that had developed into a separate race over generations. Miele actively dismissed the Annals of the Timeless One's claim that the Elotheans were formed "from the pure thought and will of the Immortals themselves." After all, an Elothean wrote the book that made that claim.

Their pursuit of knowledge and power did not end with their scholars. The Empire also established the Dark Hand, a corrupted area of land that was utilized as a breeding ground for their creations -- such as the Adan'f. Many necromantic and sorcerous experiments were performed on S'Kra Mur and Gor'Togs with the intention of purifying them and it is this knowledge that leads many to believe the Adan'f were created from S'Kra Mur.

;The fall of the Empire.
The fall of the empire began roughly a year after the mage Sithsia gave Dzree a prophecy of death. While the prophecy did come to pass as given, Dzree drove herself insane with paranoia and a short year later, died alone. Immediately, the empire fell into chaos as factions formed, each supporting their chosen leader. Open warfare between the factions began in Qi'Reshalia and over the next twenty five years, the Dragon Priest Empire destroyed itself from the inside. Those that survived found their end against groups of wealthy merchants in Qi'Reshalia. The Empire was considered conquered in 22 AV.

;Reappearances of the Empire's Dragon Priests.
Though soundly defeated, the scattered remains of Dragon Priest Empire remained a scourge in the southern lands for several hundreds of years before the first "revival" was noted. In 349 AV, the High Priest of the Dragon Priests Tenebraus attacked during the re-founding of the Crossing Bard's Guild. His forces injured Silvyrfrost and he, himself, slew the Bard Siryn. Tenebraus' deed was soon repaid as the Bards sung together and slowly killed him.

Surging to power anew in 389 AV, the Empire began attacks across the lands under the Dragon Priest Empress Hhrsaraa. Claiming to be a daughter of Dzree, she led massive forces with the aid of her Grand Arbiter Serzyn, her General Shaarl. The Adan'f Fatave, Iszanua, Xerasyth, Vigther, Vaktarr, Valthyrz, and Zaevas lead their respective groups, supporting the Dragon Priests as their creators.

Under Hhrsaraa, the empire managed to wage a bloody war for eleven years before Hhrsaraa died. Much like her claimed ancestor, upon her death, the empire fell into disorganized chaos.

;The Empire's Dragon.
In 401 AV, a literal Dragon named Ael'tharaxus appeared in Ilithi and proclaimed himself Emperor. The pronouncement brought about a stark change in the remains of the empire. Little by little, the remains of the Sect of Dzree began to disappear around Ilithi.

But it was not to be the end of such a violent, fanatical group. In 436 AV, the Sect of Dzree, or at least those that likely still follow the practice she left behind made an appearance in Aesry while a group of adventurers met with the Ru'atin Peri'el to discuss the plight of the kra'hei (beast people). Appearing from a single Moongate, the Priests slaughtered and injured many before being beaten back. This led to a later attack upon the Black Spire. Information gathered during this attack revealed that the Dragon Priests were using machinery of an unknown origin and purpose and were being led by an old crone.
Preface
This document is provided to the populace by the Order of the Fyearikloa'i Rensh'a. It describes individuals that members of the order have observed and information, true or false that the members of the order have drawn from the individuals indicated. This document is not meant to be comprehensive or to be infalible, but rather is provided to the populace to facilitate a better understanding of the events troubling Elanthia and to allow others to draw their own conclusions and act accordingly.

The Cult, the Sects, and Divisions Therein
Widely known is the ancient history of the Dragon Priests. Sh'kial, commonly accepted to be the first formal Dragon Priest, laid down a religion of Dragon worship based upon placating the beast with offerings and worship. Later, there was Dzree, the power mad usurper whose actions while leading the cult gave it both the stigma and the dichotomy of practice which the cult bears today. Dragon worship is forbidden in most civilized communities, partially for fear of another Dzree's ascension to power, and partially because of the opinions of the land's prevailing religions. The cult itself is commonly believed to be divided into two main sects, based upon the teachings of Sh'kial the pacifist, or Dzree the antagonist. This information is included largely for the benefit of the uninitiated--I have taken the time to point that out largely because some of the latest findings have speak differently about the latest generation of the Dragon's followers.

Contemporary Iterations and Revelations
While history tells us that the Dragon Priests, sect differences notwithstanding, have traditionally organized themselves in a regimental priesthood, the latest encounters with the Dragon's servants speak differently about its current followers. The following facts have been gleaned about the newest batch of the Dragon-called.

1--Dzree, commonly thought to be the a Dragon-Worshipper's self-ideal, is instead believed to have been a shortsighted power monger whose lust for power diluted her devotion to the worship itself. She used the religion to serve her own purposes, and therefore is seen as unworthy.

2--The traditional term "Dragon Priest/ess" is also disliked by this newest iteration of worshippers. The reason for this seems to be twofold: A) The term evokes memories of the old Dragon Priests, most of whom were followers of Dzree's tainted philosophy (not that these newest Worshippers care more about what others think of them than what would be expected--they simply want to not be associated with a way that they consider "inferior"), and B) the term itself, regardless of inference, does not accurately describe them. This is discussed in more detail below.

3--The nature of the Dragon/follower relationship has either changed or has been revealed in more detail. While anyone can take up a sword and kill in the Dragon's name, these new worshippers describe their relationship as less of a following and more of a calling--he communicates directly with his followers (who refer to themselves, among other things, as "Called by the Master"), revealing his will directly to them instead of through a set of misinterpretable tenets. Time will reveal whether or not this is merely an issue of semantics, or if it has a deeper meaning.

4--Surprisingly enough, humility seems to play a significant role in this new Dragon Worship. Again, this can be tied to Dzree's sect. It is felt that Dzree's lust for power and its privileges, and her use of her station to attain them, was a deciding factor in the downfall of her and her followers. The Called seem to eschew political power as a means to an end, instead preferring to act directly as the voice and hand of their Master.

Personalities Within the Newest of the Chosen
Individuals allied with this newest generation of Dragon-Worshippers are currently rare and hard to find. Whether or not this is as a result of under population amongst the Worshippers themselves has yet to be seen. Regardless of speculation, this is to be expected from a cult whose practice is banned in most of the civilized world.

Sskriveis--Sskriveis describes herself as "First amongst her Master's Chosen", and as of yet, nobody has come forth to challenge this claim. As Sskivreis is the most vocal of the newest generation of Dragon Worshippers, it is from her that most of the information regarding her organization (for lack of a better term) is gleaned. As can be expected, Sskivreis is a charismatic figure who possesses a keen intellect and wit. Since she has been the most active of the Servants, she has also been subject to the most inquisition on the part of the curious, and the most antagonism on the part of trophy-hunters.

Skrissin and Vhess--Unfortunately, less is known about the personalities of Sskivreis' subordinates. Preliminary reports indicate that these two individuals so far have made themselves known as associates of Sskriveis. Sskrissin and Vhess are both advanced in years, but this seems to have done little to blunt their martial prowess. While Skrissin's position is unknown at this time, Vhess is referred to as a "Servant", and age and fate have not been kind to him--he has one eye, a large hump on his left shoulder, a chipped fang, and is smozh (tail-less), which is a grave dishonor among S'kra.

Motives and Movements
Unsurprisingly, the particulars of the Servants' motives remain a mystery at this time, although inferences and guesses, both informed and uninformed, are plentiful. Geographically, their movements are confined to Ilithi, with the areas devoted to the Dragon's worship being the primary areas of their interest. By virtue of the nature of their worship, one can assume much, and none of these assumptions are particularly comforting. However, few if any of their antagonistic movements thus far have not been retaliations. Make no mistake, though--by and large, this is a dangerous group, and should be approached with caution, if at all. Their movements thus far are not indicative of a larger plot against the local government (see politics under "Revelations" above), but an emphasis should be put on the "thus far" aspect. Perhaps there is no antagonistic intent, or perhaps it simply has yet to be shown.

Recently, Sskivreis has begun sent out a call for others who have "been Called by the Master". What secrets she intends to reveal to them are unknown at this time. So far, her search has yielded little--perhaps those whom she searches for move with even more discretion than she.

Suggestions When Dealing with the Servants of the Dragon
First, respect is key, both for them and you. The former will in all likelihood raise their suspicions, since they are used to dealing with those who speak through swordplay--do not expect to be immediately welcomed with open arms. The latter is absolutely necessary if they are to think of you as a person of any worth--these are creatures of great pride, and as such, they find high self-esteem to be a positive character trait.

As a matter of discretion, if you are a member of one of the Dragon Priests' old enemies, by all means use the appropriate amount of caution, if you even attempt to deal with the Servants at all. While unlikely, old grudges could very well be born anew.

Be civilized! These are not your grandfather's bloodthirsty fanatics. They respond in kind to the manners of those who approach them. Violence begets violence, and a lack of violence begets the same.

Be warned--these are creatures holding forbidden beliefs, moving through a territory populated by hostile forces. Tension is a constant to them, caution is a way of life for them, and violence is always a possibility. If you do not wish to become involved in combat, always keep an eye on the nearest exit. And if you do wish to become involved...

The Servants have long memories, they do keep score, and they can hold a grudge for as long as it takes. Keep this in mind before becoming a trophy-hunter.

Shards from the moon rained down on Elanthia, doing tremendous damage that was soon outdone by the Dragon itself. Drawn to the life-fire (or inner fire) of Elanthia, the World Dragon attacked and consumed most if it. The Immortals feared the Dragon would destroy the sun next and so waged into battle against the Dragon.

The shards of the shattered moon rained down on Elanthia, doing tremendous damage that was soon outdone by the Dragon itself. Drawn to the life-fire (or inner fire) of Elanthia, the World Dragon attacked and consumed most if it. The Immortals feared the Dragon would destroy the sun next and so battle against the Dragon. They were unable to even cause serious damage to the dragon, let alone kill it.

You have to complete this quest to circle past 60. If you're already 150 go to a guild leader and ask about quest.

If you are a Free accounts player you will also need to stop by the Town Hall citizenship office and ASK the clerk about VISA or TRAVEL for a temporary travel visa.

The quest starts off with your guild leader giving you a Miniature altar and giving you the clue of having to gain the attention of a Deity from each Alignment. Your altar itself is the clue for which Deities you need to gain the attention of. The front is in the form of a Neutral deity's animal interacting with the symbol of a Light Aspect. The back will depict the Dark Aspect.

Example:

>look altar

A carving along the front of the miniature altar depicts a raven perched on a scythe. On the back, another carving depicts a small desert village ravaged by a sand storm, the well in the center almost completely covered over. Inside, three round indentations are carved along the bottom of the altar.

Neutral deity's animal: raven

Light Aspect Symbol: scythe

Dark Aspect: Dergati
Huldah||a tithe box sitting outside of a small chapel, the tail of a snake disappearing into the slot.
Ushnish||a scene of wilted crops interspersed with livestock lying supine a rough texture to the carving is noticeable above each animal.
Drogor||a simply dressed mage sleeping underneath an elm tree during a downpour. A spellbook sits open on a nearby picnic table.
Be'ort||a haggard looking Gnome lying on his side and clutching his knees in his arms. A crooked smile stretches across his face as he stares at a roach crawling in front of him.
Harawep||the outskirts of a small village the trees skirting the border are fully engulfed in flames.
Idon||young woman walking away from an orphanage.
Botolf||a man walking down the aisle of a courtroom. On either side of the man, a group of figures raise their fists toward him, while a woman sits near the front of the group weeping.
Aldauth||a long beach after a horrific battle. A few figures seem to be crawling away from the tide.

Get favor orbs of the three gods that your altar depicts and put them in your altar. Close it then PRAY ALTAR. The altar should burst into flame (giving you light hand bleeders in the process) if you have all 3 correct. If only 1 is correct there will be a slight whine from the altar. If you have two correct orbs you will receive a message about profound emptiness washing over you. Your burning altar will turn into a vial on the ground. Pick it up.

Before starting the next part make sure you have at least 3 hours to spend. Try to drink the vial and you'll be get a message like this:

* You tilt the vial back, but the liquid doesn't pour out. Seemingly repelled by your attempt to drink it, the murky substance pools at the back of the vial. A cacophony of voices rises in your ears, composed of disjointed whispers, foul phrases and lyrical singing that blend together until they speak in unison, "We see you, child, your bodily shell like clay unfinished in form even when your soul shines like the stars. You hold in your hand a remedy for that condition, though peril awaits should you falter. Drink and begin to cleanse if you are ready, but let nothing else pass your lips until you are done with your task. While you fast you will be tested, so remember two things. Leave temptation behind, and aid will be given if you know who to ask.

Drink again to start the next part. During this part I'm pretty sure you can't eat or drink anything or you get poison and die. This is a really long part with a lot of waiting. You can do other stuff during this part but don't miss the visions. Food will appear in your hand from time to time but get rid of it as soon as possible. You'll also get visions, when you get these you'll have to pray to a Light aspect that correlates with the vision. If you're not sure just pray to all the Dark/Neutral/Light Gods (whichever your last favor was with). You should have enough time to get them all.

Eventually you'll get a message like this (it has taken up to 2 hours, 47 minutes):

* A stern voice surrounds you, "Name, you have my attention, though really you are never far from my sight. I know you have sacrificed, and you have been devout. If you could see yourself through my eyes, you'd know how you shine in a sea of greys. Search out my shrine on the streets of Therenborough, as only the pure may find where it is."

Fasting Visions
Note: With the last favor from Dergati (Dark Aspect), for each vision I pray to the dark aspect of that god and it works just fine.

Confirmed 7/22/2021, with Dergati as my last favor, that not only does praying to the dark aspect work, but praying to the light aspect did not for me. I suspect this will be the case if you're last favor is from any of the dark aspects.

Neutral Aspects
Light Aspects
Immortal
Vision
Divyaush||Your vision fades and you suddenly see yourself working in front of a glowing forge. You strike down with your hammer over a broken piece of armor, but each well-intentioned blow just adds to the disrepair. You know that your increasing hunger is the cause of your poor workmanship, but your work must get finished before you can stop to eat.
Berengaria||Your vision fades and you see yourself toiling in a dusty field. Each withered crop you toss aside accompanies a sad rumbling in your belly. You continue up the slope, knowing full well each plant you uproot will be the same, but you must carry on -- others depend on you.
Kuniyo||Your vision fades and you see yourself huddled in front of a fire in an icy cavern, the frozen form of your companion a few feet away. Dizzy and weak with hunger, you stare at the remains of your friend. In your mind, you know they will find you soon, but the only thing that separates you being found alive or dead is if you eat.
Peri'el||Your vision fades and you see yourself surrounded by occupied cots. The air is still and silent now that the last patient has passed, another painless surrender to the affliction that has consumed everyone around you. Had you not been working so tirelessly to save them, you might have been one of the many who drank from the tainted well. Now with no one left to save, you feel your thirst renew. One final drink and you're back with those you love, quickly and peacefully. Otherwise, you will suffer on alone, tormented by the pasty husks around you, until thirst takes you.
Lemicus||Your vision fades and you see yourself alone on a raft, calm seas in all directions. The cloudless sky above lends you no respite from the burning rays of sunlight cast down, your thirst already compelling you toward your final act. You reach down and scoop a handful of salty water to drink. Though your mind tells you that death will follow quickly from drinking, your body can't much longer resist the urge to let slide that cool wet liquid across your lips.
Albreda||Your vision fades and you see yourself as a young child sitting in the corner. You watch your parents eating at the table quietly, casting disapproving looks at you each time your stomach growls. The fire that burnt down the barn wasn't your doing, but they blamed you anyways, and your discontent burns more fiercely than your hunger.
Murrula||Your vision fades and you find yourself travelling the desert. It's been two days since the bandits made off with your supplies, and your body is nearing exhaustion. You've been smart to sleep during the day, but even travelling at night the dry air slowly sucks the life from you. At least you know where you are, but unfortunately it's far too long a trip in any direction to find water.
Rutilor||Your vision fades and you see yourself tired and sore after a long day of harvesting crops. You walk alongside a team of oxen that haul your goods as you wind your way back home. As you round the final bend you spy the local tax collector surrounded by a contingent of armed men standing between you and your home. You knew they would come, but you did not expect them this soon. There wasn't even enough time to hide away sufficient food to keep your family fed through the winter. Already you feel the pangs of hunger suffered last year as your mind screams, "They take too much! How will we survive?"
Saemaus||Your vision fades and you see yourself sitting on a bar stool. The bartender stands off to the side wiping out a mug with a smudged cloth. Sunlight beams in through the window showing no other patrons, and you're relieved to have the place to yourself. You trace a finger over the lip of the shot glass in front of you the warm brown liquid heaven inside will let you forget. The door creaks a protest as it opens and two men walk in, their conversation stopping as they enter. In your mind you know they were talking about you, as they all have been, and you grip the shot glass tightly and rage on alone.

Dark Aspects
Immortal
Vision
Asketi||Your vision fades and you see yourself walking through one of your grain fields. On the eastern side of the field a line of fruit trees speckled with color cast long shadows from the rising sun behind them. Children climb up and down the trees, then chase each other until they tire. Occasionally they snatch up a ripened fruit from a nearby branch and take a few bites before tossing the rest aside. They don't know how much damage they do, but the losses from their playing have taken its toll on your pantry. You don't want to spend the energy chasing them off again; they'll just come right back anyways. Sighing silently, you continue to watch the children play.
Be'ort||Your vision fades and you see yourself sitting amongst a group gathered at an outdoor wedding. The couple stands at the front facing each other while a preacher continues to speak the marriage rites. These formal ceremonies take a long time, and this one is lasting particularly long. Off to the side you see the food set up for the reception. Table after table laden with spiced meats, expensive wines, and cheeses taunt your vision as you squirm in your chair ready to feast.
Dergati||Your vision fades and you see yourself sitting on a grassy hilltop. Staring up a the night sky you watch stars twinkle merrily as a cool breeze passes around you. A cluster of stars to the west catches your attention, and you suddenly can't stop thinking that they resemble a cupcake coated with raw sugar glistening from an unseen light. To the east, Yavash slowly rises. Your stomach ties up in knots as you notice how much the red moon resembles a giant hhyssk'et berry pie.
Drogor||Your vision fades and you see yourself facing a crackling fire next to the shore of a lake. Lined up along the edge of the peaceful shallows, dark-skinned Elves dance rhythmically in ankle-deep water. A humpbacked chub breaks the surface of the lake, leaping toward one of the dancers. She deftly catches the fish, drives a sharpened stick through it, and sets it over the nearby fire. The smell of cooking meat tempts your senses, but whenever you begin to move forward, the Elf standing over the fire stares at you shaking her head.
Huldah||Your vision fades and you see yourself seated in a small chapel. A young man lies at the front of the room, his father weeping over him. Surrounding the body, offerings of fruits and grains tempt your appetite, but you know they are needed for the ritual to come. A man dressed in priest's robes approaches the father and accepts a pouch of coins before ushering you and the other hopeful mourners out of the chamber. Glancing back, you take in one final look at the assortment of foods before the door shuts behind you.
Idon||Your vision fades and you see yourself seated in the front row of a concert hall. The lights on the stage center on a beautiful young woman who is standing alone, singing the most entrancing music you've ever heard. Tears stream down the faces of nearby listeners, but you can't maintain your attention any longer as your hunger has reached a ravenous point. Three encores is already enough, but judging from the reaction of the crowd, you're sure there will be more. If you leave before the singer is finished you'll draw the scorn of the other concert goers, so you continue to sit and hope your hunger will subside on its own.
Kerenhappuch||Your vision fades and you see yourself entertaining a neighboring farmer at your house. His crops for years have outperformed yours -- so much so that you've been going hungry from the meager prices you fetch at market. You both drink your wine, a luxury you wouldn't normally afford, but learning his secret farming techniques will be worth the cost. The neighbor speaks proudly of what he's learned but drops no hints to what the secret is, his tales of success almost drowned out by the rumbling in your belly.
Trothfang||Your vision fades and you see yourself battling a small peccary. Wielding a sword, you deftly parry and dodge the peccary's charges, waiting for just the right moment to strike. Seizing an opportunity as the peccary passes, you land a massive slice along the peccary's back and follow through with a sweep to the right leg. The peccary collapses, and the intoxicating scent of cooked meat overtakes your senses. Confused you pick up the severed leg and notice a distinct hickory-smoked aroma from it, and the tenderloin looks to have a pineapple glaze. You want to eat, but something just doesn't seem right.
Zachriedek||Your vision fades and you see yourself standing in the snow peering into the window of a rival blacksmith's house. Inside, the warm glow from the fireplace illuminates a center table lined with succulent foods and ornate gifts. Around the table, your competitor and his employees drink deeply from tankards and goblets. He does good work, no better or worse than yours, but somehow he has managed to acquire much more business than you have. Your stomach draws up in knots as you continue to watch the group noshing and revelling.

Head to Therenborough and search shrine around. The location is not static; it has been found at Claymore Court, a couple rooms west of Claymore Court, past the arch near the Cleric shop, and near the public baths. Don't be alarmed if you don't get special messaging while searching, as it only seems to message when you've actually found the shrine. Once you find the shrine, kneel and Pray Truffenyi and you'll fall asleep and wake in a forest clearing. Go Gap and you'll confront a magpie, follow it to the east and there'll be a weasel holding a stick. Jump weasel until it's on the edge of the branch then whistle magpie. Immediately after, jump weasel again and you'll fall into the pit.

In the pit you need to stand and pull ox until it stands, revealing a rock. stand and get rock and the magpie will come drop some twine. Get twine and then tie twine to stick. Then, tie rock to stick to make a shovel. Then, dig and keep going until you get a message that you've finished the ramp. This takes quite a bit of digging. push ox to get it up the ramp. go ramp to follow him up the ramp and he'll start talking to you. After he's done you'll go unconscious again and wake up in the shrine in Theren. You now have the commune.

*Note: Should your Stamina drop and you can no longer jump or dig, kneel or lie to catch your breath. You will regain stamina quickly and be able to get back to the task at hand.

RTOC
Artificing is a discipline of the Enchanting skill. It was released to the Prime instance June 13th, 2019.

There are currently Enchanting Society halls in Crossing, Riverhaven, Shard, Hibarnhvidar, and Fang Cove.

Basics
An artificer adds an enchantment to an existing item by placing the item on a brazier and scribing sigils onto it with a burin.

Basic Steps
* put the item to be enchanted on a brazier.
* wave a mana fount at the item
* Imbue the item with either an Imbue spell, or an imbuement rod.
* study an appropriate sigil and trace it onto the item.
* scribe the item with a burin.
** Correct for mistakes by pushing the item with an augmenting loop, meditateing on the item, or focusing the item, as appropriate.
** Repeat scribeing the item until it is read to be imbued again.
* Imbue the item with either a second Imbue spell, or an imbuement rod.

Tools
Crafting Tools
* Brazier - The platform upon which Artificing occurs; The "workbench" of the Artificer. Useable braziers can be found in an Enchanting Society and portable founts can be created by Artificers.
* Mana fount - Used at the start of a project to direct energy into the item. Each fount has a limited number of uses.
* Burin - Used to scribe sigils onto an item.
* Augmenting loop - Occasionally used while scribing to correct for mistakes in the sigil scribing process.
* Imbuement rod (has charges, optional) - Used to imbue an the item at the beginning and the end of the artificing process. (Spellcasters may use the Imbue spell in lieu of using an imbuement rod.)

All artificing crafting tools can be created by via artificing. Portable braziers are the only tool that can not be purchased at an Enchanting Society, though each society does have immobile braziers available for use.

Sigil Gathering Tools
* Burin - Used to scribe a sigil onto a blank scroll.
* Blank scrolls - A stack of scrolls for holding sigils. Available for purchase at Enchanting Societies.
* Sigil book - A book for storing and organizing many sigils efficiently. Available for purchase at Enchanting Societies.

Artificing Techniques
Artificing techniques

Sigils
One of the key components of enchanting are sigils.

These can be collected in most rooms across the realms. An overview of the process and sigil types can be found on the Sigil harvesting page. A few may also be purchased from Enchanting Society Crafting Halls.

A i will have 2 metrics that determine the overall quality, Clarity & Precision.

Clarity or Quality is similar to other materials, and will factor into the overall finished quality of your enchanted piece.

Precision is a metric unique to sigils and determines the crafting effectiveness. (GM Kodius post) The precision, used for calculations to determine the potency of an enchantment, will be an average of all the sigils used in your crafting project. For example, let's say you had sigils of 40, 50 & 80 precision, that would create an average functional precision for the project of 170 / 3 = 56 precision. (GM Kodius post)

Products
A full list of items created with this system can be found on the Artificing products list. A guide to getting started making products can be found in the Enchanting Guide.

*Enchanting tools: Burins, founts, loops, and braziers as well as various devices that let NMUs enchant items.
*Ritual Foci and TM Foci (*Potentially Sorcery Foci)
*Runestones/Wands (limited-use magic items containing a single spell)
*Nemirro stones
*Attribute rings
*Retconned Moon Mage enchantments including gweths and gwethsmashers

Foci
Foci start with Holy (it is the most difficult). Each type unlocks the crafting ability for Foci of that mana type. Combined Foci allow for multi-mana ritual foci. Weaponized Foci are TM Foci and other things we have in mind. Exotic Foci may refer to Sorcerous Foci someday.
Discussed in detail in Focus (item).

Founts
Founts are tools used during enchanting that control how the completed enchantment manages mana. Founts change the complexity (size) of the enchantment. The easier-to-use and longer-lasting enchantments will not "fit" on anything less than a material with high enchantability.
In this way, Artificing is like Blacksmithing. They'll be producing the lion's share of tools for the trade.

Runestones
There will be at least 2 types of runes in the new system.

:Simple Runes - items that when used prepare the spell stored at a fixed prep. They have a discrete number of uses. These will most likely be the actual 'runestone' in game.

:Complex Runes - items that when used prepare the spell stored at a user chosen prep. They have a power level that is depleted with each use by an amount equivalent to the chosen prep. If the user chosen prep is greater than the remained power level, the rune is depleted fully and the spell is not prepared. These can conceivably be made from any item hard and solid enough to contain the conductive strands, like an amulet.

The magic 2.0 type of rune, which blends adjusting power levels with discrete charges, will no longer exist.
