"Hylomorphic corruption is essentially a form of magical radiation poisoning. It's unique compared to the other two forms of corruption, in that it ramps up and down quite quickly and brutalizes the magician physically rather than screwing with their supernatural state.

It's quite short lived compared to Teleologic and Antinomic corruption, but also can be an imminent threat to life.

Sorcerous corruption? After learning Aethrolysis at 74 sorcery, I encountered well over an hour of random internal damage and vitality loss. There was no messaging showing that I was taking any damage. There was nothing magical that could be detected from PERCEIVE, a cleric perceive, or an empathic touch. Due to lack of messaging, it was rather hard to keep track of, so I'm not sure when it started or ended. As of right now I am under the impression that this was sorcerous corruption under hylomorphic sorcery, although I saw nothing in my casting that hinted at backlash.
