Description
The a scavenger troll closely resembles its cousin, the Wood Trolls in appearance and ugliness. Hulking and heavily muscled with rough bark-like skin, it stares down at you with scrutinizing eyes as if wondering whether you have anything worthwhile. Bits of tattered cloth and leather cling to its grotesque form in a haphazard parody of clothing, souvenirs scavenged from the bodies of many a luckless adventurer.

In Depth
Special Attacks
Scavenger trolls have the ability to steal a player's weapons. This can supposedly be avoided with enough brawling skill. They can be reclaimed if the troll is killed before it degenerates. The Scavenger troll will also take things off of your corpse and in your grave. If you don't come back fast enough to kill it, the creature will despawn and what is stolen will be lost forever.

The scavenger troll exclaims, "Gimmie dat engraved scimitar!"

The scavenger troll stretches its arms towards Argowall. It grabs his scimitar and wrenches it from his hand.

Description
Like most of the lost souls who have found solace within the teachings of the World Dragon Priests, the Dragon Priest zealot has chosen to tread upon the same blood-soaked path as its fanatical predecessors. Overlapping plates of blackened steel armor protect the scaly surface of its muscular S'Kra Mur body, giving it the look of a newly discovered species of bipedal beetle. An intricately carved triangular dagger affixed to a steel chain dangles from a hook at its hip, ready to be drawn at the ready in a moments notice. Shadowed beneath the hammered visor of its dragon-shaped helm, its cold serpentine eyes constantly scan the surroundings in search of its next sacrifice in the name of the World Dragon.

In Depth
The Dragon Priest Zealots stay in the northeast corner on the first floor of the Black Spire in an area called the Chamber of Blood.

Occasionally Dragon Priest Zealots are found riding Armored Shalswars.

Quotes
*A Dragon Priest zealot snarls, "The tainted shall taste the venom of the World Dragon Priests!"
*A Dragon Priest zealot bellows, "Stand fast, warriors of the World Dragon! This day is ours!"
*A Dragon Priest zealot gasps to draw breath as it manages to mutter, "The infection... will... be.... purged!" before falling still with a soft hiss.
The lava drake is a creature of raw incandescence drawn straight from the molten heart of Elanthia. Resembling a small angiswaerd, the construct is the length of a full-grown Gor'Tog and is protected by a multitude volcanic rock scales that cover its molten body from snout to tail. The creature is constantly changing and reforming, its form as fluid as its substance, but it tends to have a sinuous, low-slung body supported by four sturdy legs. Its fiery maw is crowded with razor-sharp teeth, and its eyes are pits of white-hot fire. __NOTOC__

Description
The frostweaver is a slender faerie woman, with pale blue-white skin, silvery hair and tilted crystal blue eyes. According to legend, a lovely woman once rejected Idon's advances. In revenge, his curse turned her into the first frostweaver, a creature of ice, unable to care about any living being. Whether the legend is true or not, it would be hard to mistake the being before you for a mortal woman.

i
The frostweaver is a slender faerie woman with pale blue-white skin, silvery hair and tilted crystal blue eyes. Her outstretched arms seem raised in a dance, one slender foot poised delicately. The creature's argent hair coils around her narrow shoulders, touches of blue suggesting ice. A stylized rime of frost is painted all around the frostweaver, vaguely reminiscent of a spell pattern. The author has noted in one corner that the frostweavers have been seen to cast spells involving ice and cold.
Notes
Their boxes can be disarmed and picked with 150+ in disarm/lockpicking. Unfortunately the rate in which they drop boxes is extremely low. On the flip side, their boxes can be extremely rewarding, containing scrolls, cards and rare gems (uncut diamonds, huge star rubies, huge jaspers and huge green zircons).

Skill range is 150-260. In the premium area around the switchbacked trail near the Gondola, they will swarm. They do not teach defenses the best, as they tend to spam cast their spells.
Goblins can be found throughout Elanthia, from the fields west of Crossing to the frozen slopes of Aesry Surlaenis'a. The most common, and least dangerous, are the field and wildland goblins, although even these can be dangerous in great numbers.

Goblins are also known to produce great leaders and proficient soldiers. Goblin warriors, berserkers, archers, mercenaries, chieftains, warlords, and even princes have been known to occassionally join their lesser kin in battle.

* Boxes give at level messages at 140 ranks.
A tall, male race is::S'Kra Mur, the intercessor is swathed in grey leather armor from neck to toe. A diagonally-patterned black and white tabard over the armor is emblazoned across the left breast with a dragon. Metal bracers adorn his wrists and several elegant, single-edged swords are stored across his body. He appears in his prime and the weight of years of experience shines from within slitted eyes.
In Depth
Special Attack
Their special attack consists of between 2 - 4 rapid attacks shown as below. *NOTE* Charge from missle/pole

The intercessor slashes his blade with blinding speed!
* A Dragon Priest intercessor chops wide at you. You block with a sleek crescent shield forged into the shape of an animite-fanged viper.
[You're solidly balanced with opponent in very strong position.]
Just words to the wary.

Moon Mage Vision on Release
You see a S'kra Mur man standing on a road, wearing grey leather armor covered by a diagonally-patterned black and white tabard. His wardrobe, and his apparent temperament, share the same sense of clean order. He gazes upward into the sky, taking in a craggy black spire at the end of a long ravine.

An elderly S'kra Mur woman, draped in a black cloak, approaches the man and bows hesitantly. She says with a barely contained stammer "We... received word and awaited you."

The man nods graciously, without a smile. "Trust in your work, and in the dragon, and you will be saved." He steps beyond the crone and the vision recedes.

Skill Caps (DR 3.1)
* TM does not moved passed 1300
* Need around 1000 ranks to hit them consistently

Skill Caps (DR 3.0)
* Stealth hard caps at 1616
* Weapons appear to soft cap around 1500 ranks (1534 bow only gets 2/34)
* Shield trains well 1500+
* Shield appraisal switched at 1220 ranks to - "If you defended by blocking attacks, you are certain that the enemy would train somewhat poorly."

Skill Caps (DR 2.0)
* Multi Opponent HARD caps at 791 ranks. At 790 ranks you can still (barely) learn MO from four intercessors.
* Shield and Evasion soft cap after 1350 ranks, but can be trained to at least 1500 (partly because if you stance down, you can extend defensive caps)
* Parry and Armor soft cap around 1340
* Melee weapons cap lower than ranged weapons, and slow after 1150 ranks (worth noting that elder armadillos HARD cap melee weapons around this rank).
* Ranged still training at 1510

Description
Thick, articulated hide plating covers the desert armadillo from its dripping, twitchy snout to its barbed tail. Perfectly adapted to blend into a desert environment, the animal's coloration is a mottled patchwork of sand and tan. With powerful claws for digging protective burrows, a barbed tail, and flexible plating that allows the creature to roll itself up tightly, the armadillo appears well built to defend itself.

In Depth
Special Attacks
Webbing: An elder desert armadillo rears up and spews forth a blast of stringy white webbing at you!

Combat Notes
*Standard Attacks: Armadillos use their claws to swipe, swing, slash, and lash at opponents.
*Armadillo Shields: Armadillos use their scale plating as an extraordinarily effective shield. Players should use attacks that bypass shield, such as the Lightning Bolt spell, or use blunt weapons to attack.

Inventory/Loot
It is wearing nothing!
It is carrying nothing!

Area Information
The Dunes of Despair is a vast maze, but it is stable, so if you can read the twisted map you might be able to escape. The Dunes of Despair used to be inhabited by westanuryn and mihmen, but they have been replaced by armadillos.

Miscellaneous
Armadillos were introduced into DragonRealms in early 2007. They first appeared as part of an invasion on the Northern Trade Route along side War Mammoths and other upper level creatures. In some respects, such as ranged-defense due to their shields, they are the hardest non-invasion creature in the game. In most other respects the newer Dragon Priest Intercessors are the hardest non-invasion creature in the game.
* Defenses used to hard cap at 1385 with 4 elders on you. Since then, defensive learning has been changed to allow you to extend this, albeit at a very slow learning rate.
* Requires roughly 775 skinning to be able to succeed about 25% of the time without arranging
* TM caps at about 1650, but slows dramatically before this.
* MO hard caps at 745 with 4 elders on you.
* 3.1. Able to hunt easily at 800 ranks. Primary skills move slowly at 1250.
Summoning is a Warrior Mage-only page type is::skill that represents a Warrior Mage's facility with the elements - it currently affects familiar summoning, Aethereal Pathways, and the creation of Elemental Domains.

All applications of the SUMMONing skill are fueled by Elemental Charge, which requires the Warrior Mage first Align to one of the elements.

Maximum Elemental Charge begins with a static base amount and is modified upward based on your Stamina. Charge is increased by casting spells of the aligned element and decreased by casting spells of the opposing element. Each spell contributes the same amount to charge. Charge level does not change over time.

Elemental Domains affect how charge is gained or lost and counter environmental penalties for Elemental spells, generally making it easier to maintain charge with the appropriate element.

Charge level can be seen using Pathway Sense

Charge Levels
0. You sense nothing out of the ordinary. Only magic could detect the useless trace of fire.
1. A charge hovers just above the threshold of perception.
2. A small charge lingers within your body.
3. A charge dances through your body.
4. A charge dances just below the threshold of discomfort.
5. A charge circulates through your body, causing a low hum to vibrate through your bones.
6. Elemental essence floats freely within your body, leaving little untouched.
7. Elemental essence has infused every inch of your body. While you could contain more, you'd do so at the risk of your health.
8. Extraplanar power crackles within your body, leaving you feeling mildly feverish.
9. Extraplanar power crackles within your body, leaving you feeling acutely ill.
10. Your body sings and crackles with a barely contained charge, destroying what little cenesthesia you had left.
11. You so heavily embody the Elemental Plane of Fire that it already threatens your health. Going any further while in this plane would be fatal.
Training Methods
*Using Aethereal Pathways - The primary method of learning Summoning is to activate an Aethereal Pathway. This can be done in or out of combat. Once a pathway has been activated it will continue to pulse as long as you maintain sufficient Elemental Charge - either through casting ALIGNment complementary spells or using SUMMON ADMITTANCE.
- Using an opposing elemental pathway drains elemental charge twice as fast as using a pathway of an aligned element.
- Using a neutral elemental pathway drains elemental charge 1.5 times as fast as using a pathway of an aligned element.
- Every 200 ranks of summoning reduces summoning round times by 1 second.
- Each SUMMON ADMITTANCE raises elemental charge by 1.
*SUMMONing - Use of the SUMMON ADMITTANCE, SUMMON IMPEDANCE or SUMMON familiar commands will grant a small amount of experience.
*Using the elemental Barrage also teaches some summoning skill
*Teaching or Listening to Summoning - Other Warrior Mages can teach or be taught the Summoning skill.
__NOTOC__

Description
The lava drake is a creature of raw incandescence drawn straight from the molten heart of Elanthia. Resembling a small angiswaerd, the construct is the length of a full-grown Gor'Tog and is protected by a multitude volcanic rock scales that cover its molten body from snout to tail. The creature is constantly changing and reforming, its form as fluid as its substance, but it tends to have a sinuous, low-slung body supported by four sturdy legs. Its fiery maw is crowded with razor-sharp teeth, and its eyes are pits of white-hot fire. Shrouded in a mantle of shifting flames, the lava drake leaves smoldering footprints wherever it goes.
