Blood Staunching Demo

Since you're not feeding enough power into the spell pattern to make it coherent, you quickly work your way to the minimum required.
Images of streaking stars falling from the heavens flash across your vision as you quickly form the patterns of the Blood Staunching spell.

You harness thirty mana.
Roundtime: 3 seconds

You feel fully prepared to cast your spell.

You gesture.
The mana you were holding contributes to the spell.
You manage to channel most of your energy into the spell. The rest is wasted.
A sudden sensation of warmth spreads through your body, before settling itself between your shoulders.

You sense 14/20 mana levels.
You can sense that there is a bit less mana to the northwest, a little less mana to the west, a bit more mana to the southwest, a bit less mana to the south, less mana to the east, far less mana to the northeast, and more mana to the north.
You sense the Blood Staunching spell upon you, which should last for about ten roisaen.
You sense the Gift of Life spell upon you, which should last for about seventeen roisaen.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

You catch Lorzelophia as her leaps from hiding, slashing at your ankle!
Agonizing pain suddenly erupts in your leg as your hamstring is swiftly severed!

Bright blood sprays out from the wound, and despite a desperate attempt to quickly nurse the injured limb, you collapse to the ground!
You are stunned!

Your body feels battered.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You have minor swelling and bruising around the neck compounded by cuts and bruises about the neck, a severely swollen and deeply bruised right leg compounded by deep cuts across the right leg, minor swelling and bruising in the back compounded by cuts and bruises about the back.

You're stunned!

You feel the warmth between your shoulders spread to cover your entire body, focusing on the areas where you are bleeding.

The spell will then prevent vitality loss from bleeding until it wears off. Starting to bleed triggers this. If it's pre-cast, it will just wait to trigger until bleeding happens, or it wears off. You can stack the duration up to an hour by pre-casting, but you can't add to the duration if the spell is actively staunching. In that case, you must wait for it to wear off before renewing it. Once it's triggered, it stops vit loss for -all- bleeding, both whatever triggered it and any future wounds.

I continued having Lorz ambush slash Szrael until both her legs were missing, and she had two very profuse bleeders, one heavy internal bleeder and one moderate internal bleeder, and she did not lose any vitality until the spell itself wore off.
