WE HAVE A LARGER OCEAN, NOW HOW ABOUT SOME SHIPS?

You asked so now I provide.

Introducing the Player Shipyard system, the first of which is Barana's Shipyard based in Crossing. Where a player can choose from four different styles of ships as well as a number of different types of customizations based on the type of ship ordered. Before I get into what you really want to read here is a couple other things.

As well as Barana taking orders to build ships, his shipyard also offers a couple other services. There is a Cartography merchant that sells additional routes a ship-owner's pilot can use. There is also a Brokerage where a ship-owner can give over the ownership of a ship they own to someone else. Both of these services require the owner to have their ownership jewelry to function.

Now besides that, the ship pilots have been updated to allow the Captain to assign Seaman rank to up to 10 people.

Back to the shipyard.

How much will it cost?

Due to the resources involved a ship is not only costly to build but costly to maintain. The following is the list of what is available for sell.

1 - The Cog
This is a single-masted, single-sailed vessel.
Build Price = 80000000 Kronars. (8000 platinum Kronars)
Built Time = Approximately 15 game days.

2 - The Cutter
This is a single-masted vessel with five sails and a customizable cabin.
Build Price = 120000000 Kronars. (12000 platinum Kronars)
Build Time = Approximately 30 game days.

3 - The Brig
This is a double-masted vessel featuring eight sails, a customizable
cabin, and the choice of either a hold or a galley.
Build Price = 15000000 Kronars. (15000 platinum Kronars)
Build Time = Approximately 60 game days.

4 - The Galleon
This is a four-masted vessel boasting twelve sails, a hold, a galley,
a customizable cabin, and a second simply-furnished cabin.
Build Price = 200000000 Kronars. (20000 platinum Kronars)
Build Time = Approximately 90 game days.

That's right customizable cabins! You can choose your style of five different pieces of furniture for your cabin.

Once you have completed your order, the shipyard will start constructing your ship. There will be a foreman at each job site during the daytime that the owner of the ship can ask questions about construction time or the ship itself.

Barana's Shipyard only has room to build four ships at a time.

WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO BUILD THE SHIP?

Well realistically it would take alot longer. On the system side we space out the building of a new ship over a period of time so as not to suck a huge amount of resources out of the game. Nobody wants something else that causes lag. Even with this you can grease a Foreman's palms a bit to cut down on the build time even more.

WHY CAN'T THE SHIPYARD BUILD MORE SHIPS AT A TIME?

Well realistically a shipyard only has so much space. On the system side we do this as well to cut down on what could potentially be a resource draining system.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE THE MONEY ON ME WHEN I'M ORDERING MY SHIP?

Yes, you do. The full amount and the correct currency. (Kronars for Barana's)

ONCE I JOIN THE LIST FOR AN APPOINTMENT DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE OFFICE?

No, but once your name comes up you only have 10 minutes to enter the office before the next client's turn. An appointment lasts for 30 minutes, unless a client leaves early.

IF I GET BOOTED DO I LOSE MY SPOT?

You have 10 minutes once your name comes up to enter the office. If you get booted while in the office you have until your 30 minutes are up to log back in.

WHY DO THEY COST SO MUCH?

Well given what they are and the resources involved to not only make a custom ship but to upkeep one. . .the cost fits the bill.

WHY WON'T THE FOREMAN TALK TO ME ABOUT MY SHIP?

The construction of the ship won't be far enough along for the first 12 real-time hours so the foreman won't talk about it.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE SHIP IS DONE?

Once a ship has been constructed it will be moved into the ocean, and about five minutes later it will dock at whatever local port the shipyard is near to. After the owner has gone onboard he or she should do the following two things right away.

1. COMMAND {pilot name} TO SET TITLE this will set the player's varfield
2. ASK {pilot name} ABOUT RING this will give the player their ownership jewelry
