I chose this weeks project. Thanks to Armifer and Zadraes for the guidance on implementation and Zadraes for the quick QC. Spell Scrolls Previously, reading a spell scroll imposed 15 seconds of roundtime, regardless of skill. Now, those skilled in arcana will experience a 1-second reduction in roundtime for every 75 ranks over 500 ranks. The minimum skill-based roundtime is now 5 seconds. This change only affects the roundtime for READ, which is strictly an information verb. Roundtime for STUDY and INVOKE is unchanged. Alteration Scrolls Dropping an alteration scroll immediately deletes the alteration request, destroys the scroll, and removes you from the alteration list. Understandably, this creates a headache for both players and staff when scrolls are inadvertently discarded. Accordingly, dropping an alteration scroll now requires a confirmation within 15 seconds and imposes 5 seconds of roundtime. The confirmation message contains a clear warning of the consequences as well as instructions for how to change the item or design. [WARNING: Dropping your alterer's scroll will destroy the scroll, delete your alteration request, and remove you from the list! If you are sure that you no longer want an alteration at all, you can DROP your scroll again within 15 seconds.] [If you simply wish to alter a different item, use WRITE CHANGE while holding the scroll and the new item.
