Heh. Partly, that's a fair accusation. I think Dartenian, Aurdun, and I have all made it clear that we think Barbarians understanding and using magic should be a generally bad idea. You shouldn't be able to cheat the Inner Fire -- that burning passion and will to personal power -- otherwise it becomes just a sweaty form of mana. But I'm a big fan of giving people choices, and one of those choices is for a Barbarian student of the occult. There should be strong disincentives for going down that road, but there should be things at the end of it that make it something more than a binary prohibition. | |
