The length of the RT [from Meraud's Commune] and whether you end up prone, kneeling, or standing are both based on skill. I'm not sure what the OP's skill is, but at a certain point there is no chance for a player to end up in a compromising position from doing Meraud's. Considering how long it lasts, it's also pretty doubtful that you'd need to perform it more than once per hunting trip, so it's usually not too hard to find a good moment to fire it off the one time and then enjoy its benefits for your session.

They certainly stack in at least one spot in core magic, I'm not sure about others.
