>Again, we should not have to buy a wedding package or seek out someone in an Order to get an in game announcement. We have run the Joust for 10 years without asking for gifts or food, just an announcement. We should not be required to make them order run events since we are not an order. My point is, as a premium paying player, I should be able to get the same "perks" when running an event as any other player that is in an Order. If we are not an order, we should not have to pay additional funds to run an event.

>I also am not miserable. I am angry at how our event has had our "perks" taken away because we do not want to become an order, especially after doing something for so many years and not being given any consideration for having the longest running event in Elanthia. I am wondering, has any other event ran nearly every month for a decade?

As has been stated the requirements for announcements, food tables et al. has been in place for quite some time. Unfortunately, and perhaps your event occasionally fell under this, it was not as strictly adhered to as we would have liked. I don't know if this is the case, as I have only been on staff for a few years and I can't speak to what another GM did in the past, however this IS the standard that the GM staff abides by now, and has for at least the approximately three years I have been on staff. I'm sorry if you're disappointed by this, but it has nothing at all to do with trying to make it an Order run event -- though you (general you) are more than welcome to use an Order or Mentor to help sponsor any event, as Persida stated earlier. We encourage groups to work together, definitely, and have no issue with any groups getting together and doing this at all.

As a premium player, however you get the same perks as ANY OTHER non-Order premium player running an event. You are not required to "pay additional funds" to run an event at all. No perks have been taken away from anyone, as Persida has stated, and as I have attempted to explain -- the rules are there and if they were not being strictly adhered to in the past, they are currently. The duration of running an event has no bearing or consideration on what event benefits are or are not made available to a player run event. Also as previously mentioned we as a GM team want to get a more comprehensive robust and realistic set up for supporting ALL player-run events going, and has been in discussion.

Further discussion on this exact subject, since its been explained several times should go here:

Constructive discussion on what sort of benefits people would like to see is welcome, and would be best suited here:

As a reminder to everyone, while the calendar view api on the homepage may not be functioning right, you should be able to view it directly from here:
http://tinyurl.com/pkqfryk (it was huge) Alternately, Somnivisium and Samarah's website http://lionsgait.org/ has a calendar viewer as well.

We can consider this particular vein of subject closed.
