It's been discussed on and off - I think there's a lot of people unhappy with the way new exp worked out (Both on staff and off) but nothing is currently in the works. Not to sound like a broken record, but that was another Socharis project. He was the main exp guy on staff driving to normalize gains (instead of having to just make up a formula on the spot every time you need to award exp) and had done a lot of work with the data.

The intent of new exp was to allow you to train for awhile and then go RP or something without having to constantly "top off" to keep yourself in optimal drain through a combination of the deeper pools and linear drain. And you can do this without loss of training efficiency for the specific skills you care about.

The problem is that the vast majority of people still want to hammer a skill until they see mind lock, efficient or not (And it's not, since if you're mind locking you're overflowing at least a little bit out of the pool), and feel like they need to keep all of their skills going at once so. The actual routines look different but the result is the same as old exp... people just learn faster.
