Major Physical Protection

Description: The Major Physical Protection spell will impart the caster and his or her group with a temporarily enhanced ability to avoid attacks. Those who receive the benefit of the essence surrounding the Cleric must take care not to stray too far from the source, lest the effect fade prematurely.

Through much study, scholars of the Holy arts have surmised that the spell also instills a calm that may be a boon when outnumbered in battle. The strength and duration of the spell is affected by the amount of mana successfully channeled into the matrix.

Example Messaging: A bright silver nimbus roars up around you as streaks of steel-blue light descend in a convex field.
A sense of calm focus takes hold as the luminous pattern washes over you. You feel <bonus level> more able to avoid attacks with your current skill.

Notes

  • Also provides a modest boost to Multi Opponent skill.
  • Replaceable, but not renewable; subsequent casts will replace the current one, so best to cast as high as your PM allows.
  • Maximum duration is 1300 seconds (21.7 minutes/roisaen).
  • Bonus levels from smallest to largest are:
    • Slightly
    • Moderately
    • Much
    • A great deal
